I purchased this car almost 5 years ago from the original owner with a bad motor. The gentleman i purchased the car from realized that he overheated the engine due to a leaking radiator but regardless he basicaly blew the head gasket. After a short search i was able to find a replacement motor with 72k miles from a wrecked car. I had the radiator redone and replaced the transmission cooling lines . Brand new michelins were installed a few months ago with new struts. The a/c has been converted. The soft top has 2 small tears and the plastic window is a little foggy. The interior is in pretty good considering its almost 30 years old and a convertible. This car being a true euro with the cloth seats and crank windows and jump seat. Personally i feel the 280sl is a lot more enjoyable than the 380sl to drive.More responsive and quick. A real head turner and fun ride not to mention it costs pennies to insure .Keep in mind mileage on car is 151k motor 74k tranny was serviced in 2010. Vin number WDB10704210013391 ebay just doesnt accept it .Thank you for looking at my listing
