I'm relisting this car because it's too nice and I decided to keep it unless it sells for what I feel is a fair profit in a tough economy. However, I raised the price after driving it for a week...It's a keeper and I'd feel too sick getting low-balled on it. I registered and titled it under my name and am now selling my 240D locally instead. I've owned 14 of these diesel Mercedes and this one is like driving a new 300SD. It's adorable. I have never used that word. Search the completed listings and one not as nice as this just sold for $5900. The car has only 138xxx original miles. No rust. No oil leaks. The turbo functions perfectly. The transmission shifts smoothly. Brakes and shocks are excellent...Alignment is perfectly straight with no vibrations, shakes or any issues. No cracks in the glass, no cracks in the wood or dash, and no rips in the interior. The paint job is preserved and crisp and looks as though it's been garaged. All windows, central locking, all lights, and gauges work except for the tachometer which stops working once in a while. Heater works great. Tires are 4 brand new Bridgestones. Car comes with original mats, original manuals, and original spare tire. The car just passed a smog test (in Portland, OR) in June....most states do not even require that you smog a diesel. Easy to convert to Veggie oil if desired. Excellent gas mileage in the high 20's. I removed the plastic headlight covers seen in the picture to reveal "like new" headlights that are much brighter now. The quirks are minimal (and I will be looking into them) which include: The cruise control isn't working... A/C doesn't get cold...might just need a recharge...The one rubber part of the front bumper is missing. There are a few minor dings which I have tried to display in the pictures. There's some water damage on the back "dash" from a small leak in the rear window rubber seal. The carpet could use a cleaning. But overall, this car is immaculate, close to flawless, and priced to sell. Car is sold as is being a 32 year old car with no warranties expressed or implied. $500.00 non refundable deposit via Paypal due in 24 hours of the close of auction.
