Hello, we are selling our Explorer at a low price due to a transmission problem. We are looking to upgrade to a 7 seater (I have 2 kids and she has 2 kids), so we are no longer willing to dump any more money into this car that has been great to us. I won't bore you with a long list of power windows, power locks etc etc etc. No Reserve The Good The engine starts right up, idles smooth and runs strong. The odometer reads 125k but the motor was replaced at around 75k with a motor that had 65k. So that motor has 115k. I have all the paperwork. Its in great shape, i cannot say that enough. No leaks of anykind anywhere. New Battery Recent work: replace water pump, thermostat, transmission cooling line. I have paperwork. Great Tires and brakes. I have receipts 4WD works as it should. Seats and Carpet are in good shape. A/C blows super cold and the heat blows hot. Every button, switch and knob on the dash works fine. It was our everyday driver. Still gets a good shine. Nice dark tint installed. No warning lights are on. Clean title in hand. One owner. In the family since new. In our pocession since 2008. The Bad The transmission, Going from "P"ark to "D"rive you have to put it on "1" and then it gets going fine. Then while it shifts from 3rd to 4th it delays the shift and you have to let up the gas and then it drives fine. Mechanics have told us it may just need fluid added, or it may just need solenoid replacement, or it may need a new transmission. So if all it needs is some fluid, you're getting a great deal, if it needs a new transmission, you're getting a good deal. We just can't put any more money into maybes and ifs. Driver side mirror is broken, it has a small round mirror attached, see pics. Small rust bubbles on 2 front corners of the hood. Drivers side rear panels were repainted years (2008) ago, but you cant tell unless youre 6 inches away. It does have some scrapes and bruises. See pictures. Please feel free to ask any questions.
