Vehicle Detail
I am selling several cars from my private collection this week, including this beautiful 1975 Porsche 911S Targa. This has been a wonderful part of my collection, sold on 8-27-75 from Bozzani Porsche in Monrovia California as noted in the original book. I am pleased to offer my porsche to the porsche enthusiast to enjoy as I have. The COA (porsche cars North America certificate of authenticity) states: Engine Number 6551750, Transmission 154555 Exterior Paint Code Peru Red/H1 and this is confirmed with the 042 paint code affixed to the car, Forged Alloy Wheels, "Koni" Shocks instead of "Boge" , Targa folding top, 5 speed transmission. I have the packing list for the air conditioner, however the a/c is inop. Also have "passing braking and tire reserve load data" brochure that came with the car. The rims were done to perfection by expert and they are pure gorgeous, Yokohama tires. All normal enhancements like pop off valve, tensioners, etc.. Refinished targa top. Higher end audio system w/ Eclipse CD3100 stereo/cd and amps under passenger seats so pass seat does not presently tilt forward so back passengers go in via drivers side or you can relocate amps,etc.. Past couple of years : new front and rear lid shocks, new stearing bearing. Has typical oil leak not attended to. Car drives tight, performs like a top and sounds the way an early vintage porsche should sound! Also for those in California - this year is last year of SMOG EXEMPTION. No heat exchangers :) ... VERY LOW MILEAGE, 100% CALIFORNIA CAR-ALWAYS IN CALIFORNIA , STOCK , VERY RARE COLOR COMBO... PERU RED IS A GORGEOUS COLOR. Car still shines up very nice and is detailed often, yet has normal age wear -such as chips on paint.. NO RUST KNOWN. Top of drivers side glass has rough edge , yet never replaced to keep "all stock" so choice is yours.. I have owned from 1970 thru present porsches and love the seventies... If you can find a very nice 2.7 you will find the drive more exhilating than the 2.4. If you are reading this you most likely know by now how the cars have been appreciating at a significant clip over the years, yet you will be pleased to find this beautiful representation not dealer owned and not being sold for an astronomical price like 29 or 39 or 49k and above as you can find. I was never into cars to make money, yet only to enjoy my passion, maintain like how I received it and improve upon for the next auto afficianado. I take great pride and care in my collection. I have set the reserve at a reasonable price for this CA car, 3 owner, low mileage, stock, rare, superb driver. Happy Bidding. Thank you for looking. I will be posting a lot of pictures on Sunday. , On Jul-29-12 at 18:46:38 PDT, seller added the following information: 73,095 miles as of today. On Jul-29-12 at 20:11:26 PDT, seller added the following information: I wanted to add that the car has an awesome sound system, installed before my time, yet it is really, really nice, even to todays standard. Further the car has an alarm system with remote w/ vibration and all that fun stuff and works perfect.
