Vehicle Detail
My Bullitt Mustang is being relisted due to a ZERO feedback bidder who claims that their Ebay account was supposedly "hacked". These "hackers" even went as far as to bid TWICE within minutes of the auction ending. While I don't believe this for one second, we will let Ebay and their fraud department deal with his actions. This is not a game, this costs me both time and money to list the car and I fail to see what thrill people get out of bidding on a car and not following through. ZERO FEEDBACK BIDDERS MUST EMAIL WITH THEIR CONTACT INFORMATION PRIOR TO BIDDING OR THEIR BID(S) WILL BE CANCELLED. NO EXCEPTIONS. In an effort to get this car sold to a real buyer, I have added a "Buy It Now" which is thousands less than where the previous auction ended. Up for bid is my 1968 Ford Mustang Fastback "Bullitt" Movie Car Replica. It's an absolutely gorgeous replica of one of the coolest movie cars ever. Who can forget that awesome chase through San Francisco with Steve McQueen as Lieutenant Frank Bullitt behind the wheel of his Highland Green '68 Mustang Fastback. Now is your chance to own this stunning Fastback that has been fully restored with no expense spared. Per the Marti Report, this '68 Fastback started life as a Highland Green, San Jose built car, J-Code 302 4V with a 4-speed manual. Originally equipped with a Convenience Control Panel, Visibility Group, sport deck rear seat, console, power disc brakes, power steering, Interior Decor Group, Deluxe Belts, Front Seat Headrests, Chrome Styled Steel Wheels and Heavy Duty Suspension. It was originally sold in British Columbia, Canada. It still has the original owner's manual with the dealership's business card attached to the front. Please see photographs of the owner's manual and Marti Report below. This car was completely restored in late 2007/early 2008 and is absolutely gorgeous and perfect inside and out. No expense was spared on the restoration. The paint is flawless, the sides are laser straight and it has a mile-deep shine like you wouldn't believe. The paint/body alone was over $25,000. There was no major rust, only surface rust. No rust through or anything at all. It was repainted in 2008 Ford Mustang Highland Green with all the exterior trim, extensions, glass, trim and drivetrain removed. Like the movie car, the grille pony and corral trim was removed, the hood and trunk lettering removed and the front fender trim was removed. Brand new American Racing Torque Thrust wheels were added just like the movie car. All the exterior trim was replaced; the bumpers, bumper guards, door handles, mirrors, wing windows and chrome frames, parking lights, reverse lights, flip-down gas cap, tail light lenses and bezels, the list goes on and on. The interior is in excellent condition with new carpet, door panels and headliner. The seats and dashpad are ORIGINAL and in excellent condition with no rips, cracks or tears. The black center console is removable as seen in the pictures below. It wedges between the seats and has two cupholders, a large storage compartment and a very comfortable padded armrest. There are no holes drilled or any carpeting cut to install it. The Ford Racing 392 CI Crate Motor has incredible power and drives like a dream mated to the T-5 5-Speed Manual Transmission which both have 6,341 miles on them. This Mustang handles great, much better than any Mustang ever did back in 1968. Between the Monte Carlo Bar, Sway Bars, Subframe Connectors, Rollbar, upgraded Koni Shocks and Springs, this car takes corners much like a new Mustang does. It feels right at home on a country road and sounds incredible with the Hooker Headers and Flowmasters. Here are some of the mechanical specs on it: - Ford Racing 392 CI Crate Motor "Sportsman Block" 430 HP/450 TQ, 9.7:1 Compression - Tremec T-5 5-Speed Manual with Hurst Shifter - Modern Driveline Cable Clutch - Barry Grant Street Demon 800 CFM Carburetor - RPM Airgap Intake Manifold - MSD Ignition - Holley Electric Fuel Pump - 4-Core Aluminum Radiator - Cooling Fan Mounted on Front of Radiator. Automatically on at 210 degrees or can be manually turned on - Serpentine Belt Driven - Hooker Headers - Dual Exhaust with Flowmaster Mufflers, turned down behind rear valence - Bill Meier Subframe Connectors & Roll Bar - Koni Shocks - Haneline Instrument Cluster - Currey 9" Differential with 3.55 Gears This is a turn-key show car, it could be a trailer queen for the rest of it's life, or a driver. I've trailered it to long-distance shows, but it gets driven almost every weekend to local cruises, car shows and has been driven to Hot August Nights in Reno several times. It is a blast to drive and gets up and goes. It wins awards at almost every show it attends. The black and yellow California YOM plates you see are registered to the car and are 100% legal to be used on the road. I have the clear California title in my possession and the car is currently registered. Please refer to the 100+ large photographs below and ask any questions you may have. A $1,000.00 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit is due within 24 hours of auction end via PayPal or a Cashier's Check overnighted. The remaining balance is due within 7 days of auction end and cannot be paid through PayPal. Final payment is due in the form of cash (in person), Cashier's Check or Wire Transfer. All funds will be verified before the car and title will be released. No Exceptions. Worldwide buyers are welcome. On Aug-02-12 at 06:53:58 PDT, seller added the following information: Interested parties are encouraged to have the car inspected if they wish to, however all inspections must be done before bidding and/or before the end of the auction. You are bidding to buy the car, not for the opportunity to have it inspected after the sale. If you cannot comply with the payment rules and deadlines, please do not bid. Thank You.
