Vehicle Detail

This is an increasingly rare Eagle Talon AWD Automatic transmission. Most AWD eclipses and talons were manual trans. This car come with aftermarket parts installed. KYB Adjustable struts, front and rear Tein loweing springs ADR wheels 17", custom offset to fit the widest tire in the wheelwell without rubbing. Same front and rear. EBC green stuff brake pads and anodized crossdrilled and slotted rotors. Energy Suspension polyurathane bushings front and rear Blaupunkt CD player with aux front input. We have owned this car since 125K miles, and about 7 years. It has always ran well, though the mas air flow sensor has gone out and now the car lopes at idle, it also causes the trans to shift oddly becuase the trans computer cannot calculate torque propperly. It still shifts through all gears though. I bought another car and this one became a project. I pulled most of the interior out for refinishing, but ran out of money. The dash, door panels, and front seats are currently installed, and the rest of the interrior is included with the car. The car is currently registered/insured and I drive it once or twice a month. The exhaust seal on the turbo is leaking a little, its not a bug killer yet, but a long trip down the highway usually reseats it. All cylinders have good compression, and the sparkplugs are burning clean. I set them beside the compression tester so you could look. The body has had some strange dents, it was like that when I bought it from the car lot in memphis. The tail lights are from a plymouth laser, I like them, but final fitment will have to be done. I also have 1 of the originals in good condition to be included with the car. This is a project car, the tires need to be replaced due to being old and worn out. The engine has normal oil seeps for a 4G63T. The controll arms need to be loosened and the bushings greased (the passenger front squeaks some times). The ABS light is on and I don't know why, the check engine light is not on, and it shows good oil pressure. All in all, it is a solid builder with a good engine/trans, or a great parts car for the all the aftermarket parts. You are buying AS IS, the car is sold AS IS, and a non-refundable $100.00 deposit is due within 24 hours of the auctions end. The full amount is due within 7 days of auctions end. Delivery can be arrange at buyers expense. If you do not agree with these terms, do not bid. This offer is for serious buyers only.On Jul-28-12 at 14:51:04 PDT, seller added the following information: I noticed looking at the pictures that you can not see the 3" hole in the hood bulge. I don't want any surprises for the buyer, so I thought pointing that out would be the right thing to do. This was not intentional, but I do not have the additional space to include another picture in this listing to show it. The hood bulge (the factory "power bulge" on the drivers side) has a 3" hole where a custom short cowl was going to be installed. It was not cut through the structure, just the skin. Any DSM owner can relate to just how hot the underhood temps can be. It is functional, even without the cowl. The cowl is not available. I've been asked why I am selling. There are two main reasons. I ran out of money to complete the car. The major one is, I am a displaced veteran that cannot translate my Army MOS into a career. However proud I am of my Army "Diploma" (my MOS training alone was 9 months long, so they awarded one), no-one else is. Colleges will award credits for it, none of which amount to a degree of any sort, and you have to attend the college to obtain them. Even though I maintained Army helicopters for 6 years, and have almost three years in civilian aviation as a repair/installation technician, all of them are of avionics/electrical/armament experience. The FAA says that does not qualify me, to take the Airframe certification tests. The FAA said I need to work at a repair station as an amateur mechanic to gain the required 18 months of experience (which not being certificated, pays 12.50/hr or less) or go to a certified school for two years. There are no promotional opportunities, or certifications for someone that is just an avionics technician, and that is all I am. That limits my hiring opportunities as well. The certified person, or college educated, always gets hired first, regardless of skill, experience, or what their degree is in. I don't get paid as much as that person, even though I am doing the same job, with the same skill, or maybe more skill. I can't ignore the time I've put in already, take a pay cut for 18 months when I'm struggling just to pay bills day to day, buy a whole new tool-set that is required for aviation mechanic work, or find work that requires me to be away from my family. My son (3 years old now) didn't want anything to do with me when I came home from Iraq, or my last civilian aviation contracting job. Its taken a long time to rebuild that relationship, so I'm done with aviation. I didn't know the industry was like that when I decided to get into it. It is another example of wisdom coming with age and learning things the hard way. I need money to go back to school for a real career. I'm the sole provider for my partially disabled wife and child. I'm selling everything I can't live without, to go back to school, provide for my family, so I don't have to re-join the military and miss more of my son's life. Thanks for looking, feel free to ask questions, and good luck bidding! On Jul-28-12 at 15:02:51 PDT, seller added the following information: p.s. My wife is partially disabled, my son is not, I just noticed that read kinda confusingly.
