On Jul-26-12 at 14:23:51 PDT, seller added the following information: ***CAR HISTORY*** I am more than open to help you make your final decision. I got this car in a business deal 2 years ago from the original owner. It had been stored in a garage for a number of years and had not been driven. I was asked if I wanted the car in lieu of cash and took it to my mechanic for his assessment. Based on his recommendation I bought the car and had him go to work. These are the invoices I have for all the work done and I can put you in touch with him if you like. It would be a lot easier to scan these doc's than list them. This car leaks absolutely no oil but of course my mechanic would have liked to sell me a full overhaul on the motor but he said it wasn't "neccessary".Paint is all original that was brought back by a wetsand job that cost $600. There are a few road chips on the mirrors and bumper, not the hood. There are a couple things it needs.1)trunk carpet was ordered but never got shipped.2)The catylitic converter was rattling so the date of the car made it eligible to remove but as a quick fix we just replaced with exhaust pipe but the sound it not optimal. On my previous Porsches I installed a Gembala exhaust but I am not going to that expense for a vehicle I am selling. Last week I had the a/c charged and tested and the mechanic was impressed we achieved a 55 degrees reading. There is 1 small (1/2")tear in the top where it got pinched but doesn't leak.Back window is super clear and top overall is in great condition.Wind noise is minimal for a convertable. Interior is in excellent shape with no tears in the leather or dash.If you have an independent assessment done porsche mechanics being as anal and expense driven as they are will recommend this, this and this....in their opinion to make it perfect, that will be your decision. But, if you want a nice cabriolet to cruise around on weekends, don't spend a dime on anything else and enjoy it. If you want to move on this further then call me tomorrow @904-228-0397 As you know I have relisted thecar
