Vehicle Detail
This is an excellent car for restoring or "as is". It is fully drivable and there is no hesitation to take it on a short or long distance trip. It has a working convertible top with boot cover, new tires, new brakes, new master cylinder, and all parts are original except for driver's side mirror. The ride is very smooth. I have owned this car since 1981 and it's now time to let someone else enjoy and possibly restore. Several new and extra used parts come with this vehicle, new carpeting, stainless steel trim, extra tail lights, window gasket materials, frame bolt cushions, etc. All interior lights and cigarette lighter works and has been garage-kept. Engine runs great, with one value that clicks. Transmission shifts very smoothly and has power steering and power brakes. On Jul-24-12 at 18:40:53 PDT, seller added the following information: This car also has new front shocks. The body is in very good condition. The right door must have been damaged before I bought the car. It seems to be the only part that had some repair. The doors open and close very well. There are 2 quarter size holes in the frame that can be easily welded. Everything in the trunk and floor pans are solid. If I were to restore this myself, I would put in new rear lower quarter panels- that is the only areas that possibly need metal replacement. All the joints are good and tight on the front. Replaced many items on the front suspension years ago-it is not loose. The car is complete. The two quarter-sized holes in the frame are in the middle, on the inside of each frame rail. The area around the holes are solid. Last year, the following repairs were done by a mechanic (12-27-10 thru 5-19-11): New rear springsStarter rebuiltNew front shocks and boltsRepair left front turn signal socketRebuilt convertible top motorReplace master brake cylinder and 4 wheel cylindersNew front shoes, rear drum, partial brake line,Rebuilt carburetor and chokeReplace fuel sender and hoseDetermined #4 exhaust.
