1967 original interior and one respray a fw years back. Original CA black plates. Currently in inside storage in Carson City, NV. I believe I am the fourth owner. The first owner had the car in No Cal fo over 30 years. The car is dry with no rust issues. Original upholstrey smells like a VW like it should. Original pans are perfect. The top end was rebuilt with new heads. Original heads are in a box. Two new tires this last year. Drives very well with no typical troubles- (I have a 1966 conertible that does not shift as well and sometimes pops out of gear when downshifting) Not this 1967. The shifting is tight not loosy goosey. The miles are probably not accurate as I cannot state that they are original and haven't gone over 100,000. But it looks like they are. I cant remember if the odo shows 86K or 68K. All the glass is original except fot the windshield which was replaced some time back. All of the interior is original. The carpet is original german squareweave and needs to be replaced. The rear portion of the hedliner needs to be replaced but that is very typical for a CA car. If I was keeping it and not focusing on my 66 I would do the headliner, carpet and while the headliner was being done, replace all the window rubber.
