1965 Mustang Convertible, it started it's life as a rusted and bent in the middle project and has progressed to what you see now. My life situation is changing and I have to be realistic about storage space and what I will finish before I won't have time or space. First of all let me say that no amount of pictures can cover the stuff I have. I will hit the high points and you will have to ask questions to clear up the rest. As you may have quessed it is in the process of being rebodied. I used a realitively good coup drag car as the donor. It has a clear title and is titled as a convertible. The original serial # has been removed and retained for installation the original door tag is present as well as a reprodution from Marti. The rebody process invcluded new 1/4's front and rear valance, trunk brace, rear panel twoo half floors the upper seat convertible braces as well as the lowers,both torqe boxes as well as inner rocker braces. The convertible specific rear seat parts and rail had the spot welds drilled and were installed. All this was done while being held in a jig. It has a power top and the moto and cylinders have been removed and retained. The front seats were shot I think I save one of them but had plans to use a mustang bench seat that I have because of the unusal aspect of it. I have several power plants that come with as well as some misc accessories. I have two 289's both to my knowage to be in working order, one has a three speed manual transmission of questionable use, shift shaft is broken, I have a c-4 automatic that is probally not date correct and then my choice a close ratio toploader 4 speed that date correct and has the original buck tag. I have a ford dealer option open plane four barrel manifold and a holley four barrel. I have the original doors with all the regulators and all that stuff. The green ones that are on the car are in far better shape. I also have an extra door, hood and a windsheild. I have trim saved from several project mustangs and an extra grill and many extra headlight pieces. It has nee door hinges as well as new gas shocks for the rear and the inner fender spash guards. I have the bumpers although they are driver quality at best. There is lots of welding left to be done but it is sound for travel. All in all it is a major project but a four speed mustang convertible could be yours for a fraction of the book value. Write with questions and I will do my best to answer.
