Vehicle Detail
This auction is for a super great running and looking 1973 MGB. The car runs out great! I just took it out on a 85 mile run at current highway speeds of 60-65 mph and she performed / handled excellently. The car held good oil pressure at 55 lbs and engine temp held steady around the mid zone. I just had the car tuned up and she is ready for the road ( points, plugs, wires, cap, button, oil and coolant ). The car starts right up with no smoke or engine noises. The car shifts up / down through all gears with no binding, scraping or noises. The car drips no fluids that I can see. The car starts at the touch of the key and I would have no issues diving it on a long distances trip. The car has a current VA emissions and safety inspection. The car is showing 91,580 miles and I think that is correct based on the cars condition but have know way to verify so the car is being sold as mileage exempt. The interior is nice as seen in the photos and I would call it driver quality. The electrical system near perfect. All of the following items are working: front / rear running lights, front / rear side markers, headlights high / low beam, front / rear directional indicators, brake lights, back up lights, trunk light, interior courtesy light, radio, hazard switch, dash gauge lights, dash lights dimmer switch, windshield wipers, windshield washer motor but the jets need to be cleaned or tubing replaced to get the cleaner on the wind screen. The only things I find are the license plate light bulbs need to be replaced ( have them on order), horn works on again off again and the blower fan comes on but cuts off ( I think it is a loose connection and will try to run this down but make no promises). The suspension is very good and the car sits evenly and squarely on the ground as seen in the photos. The overall exterior condition is nice but I would still call it driver quality. The car has all Lucas lens covers that are clear / crack free. The front windshield and door glass are scrape, scratch and cloud free. The top fits nice with clear windows but does have a small tear on the drivers side. The front hood needs to be adjusted to fit a bit better and the hood prop bar needs to be installed ( I have the part and it goes with the car ). The car does NOT have a top cover, tonneau cover or jack. I don't want any one to be disappointed with the car so please ask any and all questions prior to bidding. I would highly encourage all that are interested to come see and drive the car as I don't want the winning bidder to be disappointed when they get the car. To be clear again this is not a show car just a good daily driver / driver quality car. I have a clear VA title in hand. The auction is the sell the car not win and then decide so have your funds ready by auctions. end. If you need to transport the car you can get a FREE low cot estimate on the web at Able Auto Transport ( I have used them in the past and they pick up and delivery very, very fast. I reserve the right to end auction if I get a great offer over the starting price. On Jul-19-12 at 20:10:16 PDT, seller added the following information: All- Sorry for the delay in getting back to all your emails but I work out of town. So, I have corrected the issue with the blower fan and man it works great ( air flow is great with no squeaks, noises or rattles )! I'll try to fix the horn prior to auctions end but make no promises's. I ran another light check tonight and found one back up bulb went out and I'll try to get it replaced prior to auctions end. I started the car after sitting since auctions start and with just 2 pumps of the gas peddle ( no choke use ) she started right up and ran at an even idle after about a minute and a half or so ( again no fluid leaks during this time - this really is a tight engine ). The car is in my opinion a great driver quality car but she is 40 some years old so opinions may vary ( see photos ). The car does have some rust in the front floor boards and is mainly on the drivers side ( go figure don't they all ). Now don't stress out the floor pans only cost $140 for from Moss motors and install at you local shop should be around $375 or so. The rust to me ( just my opinion ) can wait for repair as it does not effect the driving or stance of the car. Again, Please ask any and all questions prior to bidding and if you can please come by and see the car in person. I have a great feedback rating which means a lot to me but most importantly I want the new owner to be happy ---- So again ask prior to bidding.
