1971 Pontiac 455 GTO. This car is one of roughly 534 hardtop 455 4bbl cars built in that year and was rebuilt by the previous owner about six years ago. The former owner reported the engine was original and rebuilt but the transmission not original but a rebuild. The car was driven briefly after the purchase but has been parked for most of the time. The interior had been redone at that time but does have some wear. The car also was painted at that time but the clear coat is starting to flake off now and other imperfections exist. Car starts and runs great with lots of power plus a large cam was put in during the rebuild. No door handles on the car are intentional with poppers installed but no springs were attached. Starter also needs to be moved off of the engine and mounted on the side wall. Car does need some other work from sitting such as fluid changes. Additional issues are hood has a crack from belt break, dash is cracked and needs cap or replaced, and front bumper is cracked as well. Pictures below and more to follow if needed. This car is being sold as is/where is with no warranty either expressed or implied. Shipping is the sole responsibility of the buyer. I will meet your shipper or you for pickup once all the funds have cleared my bank. The paperwork and vehicle will not leave my location until all funds are cleared, no exceptions. A $500.00 non-refundable deposit is due within 48 hours of the auctions end with the balance due within 7 days of auctions end. Paypal may be used for the deposit only.
