Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is a very nice 1949 Ford half-ton pick-up. It has a flathead 6 cylinder engine that runs cool even on the hottest of days with a 3-speed tranny on the floor with a new clutch. Engine runs good with over 50 psi of oil pressure. All the brakes have been gone through with new master cylinder, all four wheel cylinders, new brake lines, brake shoes, and emergency break cables. Stops nicely, as it should. New shocks, fuel lines, new O.E.M. carburator, rebuilt starter. All new glass and rubbers. Excellent frame. Installed turn signals and converted to 12 volts with rebuilt 12 volt generator (to look period correct). Odometer shows 96,657 but this is not the original speedometer. True mileage is unknown. Very nice and clean interior with a new rubber floor mat, heater works good. New cherry hardwood bed sealed with marine varnish with stainless steel strips and bolts (looks great). New gun-barrel grey paint (some minor imperfections in paint and body work, about an 8 out of 10, but very presentable). If you are looking for a trailor queen or a museum restoration this is not for you. But, if you are looking for a nicely restored driver quality truck that you will have a lot of fun with, THIS TRUCK IS FOR YOU!!!! You may come and inspect and drive my truck or hire a professional mechanic (at your expense) before making an offer if you want to. My truck is New York State inspected and insured with a transferrable numbers matching registration for proof of ownership that I will sign over to the new owner. Any questions please call me at (716)433-0880 Lockport, New York Thanks, John
