1968 Shelby GT-350 Convertible Clone This is a very nice Shelby Clone done by KAR Auto Group. Purchased from KAR Nov 2007 w/47,809 chassis miles. Candyapple red paint was professionally touched-up and still shows very well. Car looks really sharp with strong curb appeal. Correct 10-spoke wheels (radial tires), Lucas fog lights, Shelby style twist hood locks, GT-350 exhaust tips, and white GT-350 side stripes are all detail items that provide an authentic appearance. White convertible top is approx 5 yrs old (garage kept) and virtually all weatherstripping on car is same age. Deluxe interior is done well. Correct Shelby seat upholstery w/comfortweave inserts, Shelby roll bar, deluxe woodgrain appointments, correct console w/Stewart Warner vintage style AMP and oil gauges similar to the originals, right side dash panel w/correct Shelby panel and GT-350 emblem, steering wheel is an exceptionally nice mahogany wheel with rivets in the wheel and Cobra emblem on horn button, and deluxe seat belts carry Cobra emblem all add to the car’s interior presentation. Engine compartment is detailed, Shelby data tag on left front fender apron w/VIN number for an authentic look. Engine starts easily, and responds instantly to throttle pressure. Cam upgrade was installed during the rebuild for a nice muscle car sound and improved performance. New exhaust system w/Flowmaster mufflers provides a throaty performance sound. Trunk is correctly painted body color, spare tire is mounted on matching 10-spoke wheel, and correct jack and lug wrench are in place. True sequential tail lights. This is a well-executed Clone and a tribute to the Shelby legacy. A fun car to drive and enjoy. Will do well at local shows and cruise-ins. All Shelby related parts were purchased from Shelby American licensed vendors. Nothing has been added/removed since purchase, only TLC given. Small leak from power steering pump/hose. Car cover included.
