At that timeit had original paint and had never had any previous body work or panel replacment.The color was faded, so we had a complete paint job applied. The doors,deck lid, and hood were removed so as not to leave any paint lines. Therubber weatherstripping was replaced with new AMES Pontiac supplied parts.Also we purchased an NOS style Ames Pontiac hood tach and installed it.and YES IT WORKS, and is identical to a 1969 factory optional unit.The Rallye wheels were restored and 69 style Bias RWL Tires were mounted.Interior wise all we did besides cleaning it up a little was replace the Console Lid covering with an AMES Pontiac Woodgrain Kit. The old woodgrain had turneda little pinkish. The A/C was serviced, the brakes were inspected and servicedas needed, the engine was tuned and detailed. AS FAR AS MILEAGE, the carreads 33,000, it has rolled over once, The last owner had the engine overhauledat 18,000. THERE WAS NO MODIFICATIONS DONE TO THE ENGINE.we also had the Original Carburator Overhauled and installed a newcomplete stainless dual exhaust system. I personally have driven this car onover 100 mile trips three different times. IT IS ROAD READY and YOU WILLNOT FIND A NICER STRAIGHTER ORIGINAL BODY on a Firebird or Camaroof this vintage.
