Up for sale is my personally owned Mercedes Benz s 500 in bronze color and tan interior. Let me start off by saying that this car runs and drives well and the body is in excellent condition, however the car's transmission will need to be serviced. The engine is near perfect and has great acceleration and doesnt burn any oil, or have any signs of defect in any way. The transmission functions well as well, but has developed a leak in the rear main housing, and my transmission mechanic has indicated that the leak could be repaired or in fact the unit may need to be replaced. The fact is the car leaks about 1 quart of transmission fluid every 200 miles or so, and being that stated, when there is the right level of transmission fluid in the car the trans shifts perfectly. The body is in extraordinary condition for the age of the vehicle and the car has no dents at all, and only has a penny size bubble in one of the doors, where it is hardly noticeable. The body is in extremely pristine shape. The interior has slight wear by the lumbar support on the drivers seat and a little wear on thepassenger seat but no real tears or rips. The back seats look brand new, and all the door panels are in like new condition. The car has an amazing suspension system and it has been serviced as has the brakes which have at least 15k to 20k of useable life on them. The tires are fine and have at least 3/4 tread left on them. All the power windows work as do the door locks. I have two remote keys which work, and all the documentation of all the work that was done to the car, as well as the original owners manual. The car has one directional lens missing which is easily obtained on ebay for around $50.00. All the lights work and all accessories radio, heat, and all associated environmental controls all work. The a/c blows out luke cool air and wil definitely have to be serviced with a recharge or rebuild to make operational. The car also has a rare option of having back up antennas when in reverse to guide the car backwards, which is an interesting option. The rear trunk lid lock recently broke off, and the vacumn switch seems to be at fault which is a $50.00 part also here on ebay. I am confident that with a little work this car will make an excellent driver for its new owner . As indicated, the car runs and drives but the new owner will have to watch the transmission fluid levels before embarking on a long journey. This is a no reserve auction and is SOLD AS IS and will go to the highest bidder. The local Mercedes junk yard offered me $950.00 for this vehicle, and I want a little more than that, and that is why it is up here to see if it could get more on ebay.
