Vehicle Detail

I bought this bus a year ago in Phoenix. The previous owner's father bought it for her, but never did anything with it. It sat for five years in her driveway. The owner before that was a lady in California. This was one of the reasons I bought the bus, there was only surface rust. The other reasons were, it came equipped with air conditioning and a Porsche 914 engine. I had German Motor Works in Phoenix rebuild the brake system, transmission, and air conditioning. They also rebuilt and enlarged the engine to 1976cc. The engine is fuel injected and runs perfectly. The bus has five brand new tires. I had the front seats rebuilt and upholstered. I left the rear seat as is with the idea to remove it later and customize the interior. I drove the bus to Puerto Vallarta and back with absolutely no problems. There is roughly 5,000 miles on the mechanics of the bus. There were absolutely no problems with the vehicle during the entire trip. The bus needs window and door seals, but is driveable as is. The glass is in excellent condition. There are a few dings in the body, but normal for a vehicle of that age. There is surface rust on the body and bumpers, but it should be removed with prepping for paint. the only other issue is the sliding door. There is a four inch section of track on the door sill that is missing. Any body shop can easily repair it. This is a unique bus. It has a rare automatic transmission, even rarer, functional, air conditioning, and is powered by Porsche. Mechanically, this bus is only one year old. It can easily and cheaply be restored to mint condition or modified to whatever you want. The cost after market of air conditioning is $3500 alone, not including installation. I am selling the bus to fund the restoration of a 1978 Swiss Army doublecab. Any further questions, call Mike at 801-541-1504.
