Vehicle Detail

Have you ever wanted to take that car of your dreams from high school...buy one like it and put everything you could into it? Well...I did. I bought this car several years ago and it has been a total labor of love. I have poured a ton of money into this and now...due to an upcoming move, have decided to let this go and believe it or not....get a tractor. This car was bought because it was taken down to the metal and had all the rust removed. It was also bought because it has an updated 302, a Tremec 5 speed and was a bare shell that I could put back together. While I've had a tremendous amount of fun doing this together with my son, we've had our fun and now we'll let someone else have fun with it too. Like I said...we've put just about everything we could into this: Complete new interior dash, upholstery and even made custom door panels with CNCd inserts.New carpeting Car has been completely DynomattedNew HeadlinerNew grey tinted glass...front windshield, doors, vents and back glass all new. The glass is not a film tint...it is in the glass.New Ron Francis wiring kit with Express fuse box. Every wire in the car has been replaced and upgraded.New JME CNCd billet aluminum guage panel with Carbon Fiber electric gauges. The gauge panel has a custom shell inlay, that was also added to the glove box door and door handlesElectric Life Power windows with Watson's street works billet switchesFlaming River tilt steering wheelFlaming River waterfall steering wheelVintage Air Front Runner system...billet aluminum mount holds power steering pump, 120 amp alternator and air conditioning pumpBorgeson Power SteeringGriffin high performance aluminum radiator with Spal electric fanEdelbrock 600 carburetor, electric fuel pump and fuel regulatorMSD Electronic IgnitionBraided Stainless hosesShifter extension Are you tired of reading yet? Well...there's more Moser M9 9 inch rear end. 31 spline axles, 2.78 gears4 wheel disc brakesAmerican Racing torque thruster rimsLokar Parking Brake handle and cablesNew dual exhaustVintage Air Air conditioningFunctional rear ducts for brakes AND interior with upper quarter Shelby scoopsBillet grill and Hotchkis hood pinsLED sequential tail lightsLots of other extra other bells and whistles The paint is a 10. It's a bright pearl white, with pearl silver Shelby stripes. The front valance is the R type which looks extremely mean. If you look closely, the side vents are molded in on both the lower and upper quarters. Shelby lowering springs give it a nice stance and the subframe connectors and traction bars keep it stiff and solid. This all being said...there are a couple things that need to be done still. The inside rear quarter lights, and the door interior lights weren't hooked up. It needs door poppers to hook them to. It does not have a radio or antenna and it does not have a temperature adjusting unit in it. I was starting to make a custom center console to house those, that was going to attach in the radio opening so it wouldn't damage the dash. The air conditioning hardware and plumbing is in but the temperature control unit isn't. It will go with the car...it's one of those 3 knob polished Vintage air units. All you will have to do is intall the vents inside, run the wire from the fuse box to the controller and hose switch and charge the system. All the hard work of plumbing and installation is done. The windshield wiper motor works, but the drivers side wiper does not. The passenger door power window was assembled wrong somehow at the shop and is stuck. The motor works..it just needs to have the door panel popped off, and the window channels adjusted so it slides up and down properly. It also needs the trunk weather stripping attached and the trunk finished out. All this stuff I was going to finish up but the move is taking priority right now and these are pretty simple weekend projects to complete. The car is fast, loud and a looker. I've put about 400 miles on it since the complete restoration. I will kick myself again some day but it's been a fun project and will be appreciated by the next owner. Email me with questions if you have them. And please...serious bidders only. I really do want to sell the car so please make sure you're interested and can get it if you are the winning bidder. I will work with the buyer on shipping arrangements. It will need to be picked up about an hour North of Baltimore, MD. $500 dollar down payment is required through paypal at close of auction. On Jul-04-12 at 16:44:33 PDT, seller added the following information: Couple things I forgot to add. The front will need an alignment. Nothing wrong with it..we just haven't done that since we put the new front springs in. Also, the car is for sale locally. On Jul-05-12 at 17:59:49 PDT, seller added the following information: Folks...lots of questions coming in so I'll answer as much as I can. I checked my paperwork after the listing and I put a typo on the carburator. It's a 650, not a 600 and does have an electric choke. The exhaust is Flow Master. The interior uphostery is new...the seats both front and back are the white/black combination from TMI with white in the center and black around the edges. The roof liner is new and is black. Couple of questions have come in on the 302. When I bought it the guy told me it was out of a 94 GT mustang, had been rebuilt and had GT40 heads with a B303 cam. I never had that verified as far as the details which is why it's not in the listing but I had no reason to doubt it. It had about 100 miles on the rebuild before I got it and I've put 400 on it since I've had it. It runs strong...no issues with the motor, clutch, tranny, or anything. All gauges are brand new top of the line Auto Meter and all work. The car runs consistently at 180 degrees and I've had it in the local traffic at stop lights in 100 degree weather. The paint is a custom white. I wanted as close to a metallic white as I could get...not a cream or off white color. From a distance, it looks white but in the sun and close up the pearl pops nicely. The silver was laid down and then pearl shot over it. You won't see another car like this. I've driven it so there are a couple of rock chips (very small) in the valance. I built this as a driver and not a trailer queen but it's pretty dog gone nice. No door dings, scratches, splotches or anything else.
