It has never been modified, still has all it’s original emblems (in place), #’s matching drivetrain (2.8 L v6 and 5 speed transmission), interior, books, documents, and paint with only 49,950 miles! With only 247 cars ever made and only 90 left in the world, these cars are a better investment than a Ferrari 308! Try to find an unmolested original nicer example … This car is NOT a kit car, it is a special edition sold by Pontiac from 1987 to 1988. You may not have ever heard of this car so hear is a bit of history. In 1987 & 88 Pontiac had a concept car made base on the Fiero frame. The cars were shipped to Corporate Concepts Limited where the new bodies were installed. (very Ferrari 308 like) When the cars were completed they were shipped back to the Pontiac Dealers and were advertised and sold as new cars with full factory warranties. Pontiac had made 247 cars made before Ferrari sued and stop production. Although 247 were made, base on research, there are only 90 still registered in the US. Mera name came from the word America This car was made in 1988 and it is number 8066, making it the 66th Mera made in 1988. New from pontiac this car was listed over $26,756.00 and came with these options: tinted glass, tilt steering, cont. cycle wipers, air conditioning, lamp group, visor vanity mirror, cruise control, power door locks, power windows as outlined in the dealers invoice. I have a lot of documentation (manual, books, advertisements, etc… along with receipts documenting this cars history. Recently the fuel system had been completely clean with a new fuel pump installed and all engine seals replaced. Everything works as it should with the exception of the A/C (not sure why). The radio looks completely stock, but has been upgraded with a cd player and ipod hook-up. This car has no rust (even under the car), runs great, and looks even better.
