Vehicle Detail
1984 Volkswagen VW Vanagon Van Wolfsburg Edition 4 cylinder 4 speed manual Odometer reads 129,222 miles. The odometer is not working so true milage is unknown. It runs good and does not smoke or have any issues. The transmission shifts smooth and does not grind or anything unusual. 4 cyl, 4 speed manual transmission. The big thing about this van is that it is from out west. It has no rot! It does have some surface rust here and there, but it is not hhfrom Buffalo so if you know what I mean, you will really appreciate this van. Runs good! Complete Brand new exhaust! ($1000) clutch slave cylinder ($30), new gas tank,($300) new fuel filter. Fresh oil change. New coolant temperature sensor. Passed NY State inspection and it is on the road and drivable. I have spent alot of time fixing up this nice old girl, but I just don't have the time to enjoy it! The interior is in fair condition, the seats and carpet have some stains, but they look ok. The front seats are rough so I covered them with seat covers. The dash is in good shape and the Original tape player is still in it. The dash is not hacked up or damaged. The radio works but the tape player won't play tapes. The brakes feel good and passed the NYS inspection. The lights work, the wipers up front work. The rear wiper I don't know how to use and I assume it doesn't work. The things It needs are: The battery is weak and may need to be replaced. The coolant line from the engine to the radiator has a small leak and the speedometer is not working. The power steering line leaks, so I took the belt off and the ac belt is off. ( I never tried to use the ac) The rear sliding door handle on the inside is missing. The tires have alot of tread on them, but they are dryrotted. This van is an awesome project because it is not a rusty junker. It definitely needs work, but it runs good and drives nice. If I had the time, I would keep working out the bugs, but I just don't have the time. Cash payment required. I would not drive this van far with the coolant leak, please assume that you will have to trailer or tow dolly the van home. Please call or text me at 716-861-2095
