Vehicle Detail

In march of 2012 I bought a 65 mustang off this site that I thought I was getting a good deal and I also thought it would be a daily driver but when it got here it turns out it needed more work than the owner described on the ad. I honestly didn't care because I planned on restoring it anyway. At this point in time I'm almost unable to do anything with the car because I work way too much to even have time to restore it and I do need a car to drive around to top it off. The vehicle does have a Georgia title which is where it came from and I did not transfer it in my name but there are no problems with the title. Car details... It is a 65 mustang, odometer exempt not sure of the mileage, it has a 289 with a holley 4 barrel carb and has the factory a/c system but it doesnt work due to necessary work needed which I'm unsure of, auto transmission with what seems like a 9 inch rear end, drum brakes all around, 14 wheels which look pretty nice and are in good shape. Interior is really good shape which was a selling point for me, all lights and gauges work. When I got the car it wasnt running at all but after taking off the carb and cleaning out, replacing the fuel pump, and also draining the tank and putting fresh fuel in it I got it to run. It idles really well actually and I did get the plugs and wires replaced as well. It will go down the road but i dont recommend driving it around due to brakes and necessary work needed. The shifter was really loose so I got a bushing kit to fix that and had it installed. Ok the things that need to be repaired or attended to are as follows to be a daily driver as far as I know: Fix rust and rot on front frame rails in front of the shock towers on both sides and possibly front crossmember. Fix brake system Needs new tires As far as rust goes.. both rear quarters near fender well, outer wheel housing, driver side trunk drop off, rust spots here and there on taillight panel, rocker panels, inside driver door, rust spots in engine bay area, battery apron, front frame rails/ front crossmember, driver side subframe rail is bent up a bit due to years of lifting the car up but it is quite fixable, rust spots on rear frame rail. Vehicle is actually pretty solid but I'm picky about how and where I look at the car so I mention any little spot Im able to see so this vehicle is not a rust bucket. The trunk is pretty good just dirty, will need paint but the vinyl top is in really good shape. If you have any other questions please ask. As you can see Im trying to be as upfront as possible with this car because I have no intention of screwing someone over but as always I may have forgotten something that you may ask about. Vehicle is being sold locally so I do have the option to close auction at any time.
