Vehicle Detail
I am reluctantly selling my gorgeous 1966, Fastback Mustang. I bought this car before I had a child and my family did not require multiple family friendly vehicles. Now we do and I simply do not have the funds to convert everything over to an automatic. It's a T code mustang that I converted to a v8 7 years ago. I installed a 302 crate engine built to factory specs for a 1994 mustang gt. I changed the original three speed to a T5z, installed an aluminum driveshaft and a Currie 9" Trac Lock rear end with 3.50 ratio. I bought this car from K. A. R. Auto Group specifically because it was rust free and has never been wrecked. It was painted a few years before I bought it and it has a few small chips. There is also a very small dent in the driver's fender that is a few inches around that was made by a shopping cart. I have the original service specifications manual, owner’s manual, tags, and paraphernalia that came with the car. I used a set of original spindles and installed new suspension parts through the rest of the car. Here's a run-down on the rest of what I did: Four Core Radiator, Spal Electric Fan MSD Ignition System; Distributor, Ignition Box, Plug Wires and Coil Edelbrock Carburetor Vintage Air A/C and Heater Flaming River Rack and Pinion with their Tilt Steering Column Grant Steering Wheel Headlight Relays Complete Painless Wiring Harness Retrosound Radio with Dual Coil Dash Speaker LED Taillights Cragar Wheels Flowmaster Dual Exhaust Dynamat New Tires – 2011 I'm sure I'm missing something, if you have any questions let me know and I'll answer as best as I can. If you want pictures of specific items I can get those to you. This car has been well cared for and well maintained. It has spent the vast majority of its time in my garage and never raced. On Jun-24-12 at 14:10:43 PDT, seller added the following information: The sheet metal, interior (except the carpet) and glass on this car is original and the car drives great. I finally compiled the problem areas: The car has a small oil leak which I believe is coming from the front oil seal. Really, it could be better described as an oil drip as I have never had to add oil between oil changes. Because I swapped in a T5 transmission there is a slight driveline vibration in the mid 70 mph range. I shimmed the transmission up and put wedges in the rear end mounting pads and it has gotten a lot better. Once you approach 80 mph it goes away completely. If I were to keep the car I would clearance the transmission tunnel enough to restore the factory pinion angle. But I don’t want to modify the body so I’ll leave it to the new owner to decide. The driver’s seat has a tear between the middle part of the seat back and the bolster. A bone-headed muffler shop employee thought the trunk floor was a great spot to mount an exhaust hanger. He burned a small hole next to the spare tire mount. I don’t have the windshield washer pump or tubing, the original nozzles are on the car. I will add these pictures to the listing if ebay lets me, if not I can email them.On Jun-30-12 at 06:42:54 PDT, seller added the following information: On Jun-30-12 at 10:19:44 PDT, seller added the following information:
