Vehicle Detail

Here we have a very original 1963 Buick Riviera with all of the iconic elements you read about completely intact. I purchased the car from the original Owner in Southern California because of its originality and extensive list of options. As you will note viewing the pictures it is in need of a complete restoration; I have cranked the motor over to verify it's unfrozen condition. The car had been sitting outdoors for approximately 10 years prior to my bringing it home to an enclosed garage. The car was originally purchased at IRV WHITE BUICK at 3rd and La Brea in Los Angeles; spending it entire life in Canoga Park until relocating to my garage in Colorado. She still retains her original black and gold California plates from 1963 and is still titled and registered in California with the tags current. The options on this car really make it special; white deluxe leather interior, air conditioning, wonderbar radio, power antenna, cruise control, power windows including vent windows as well, power seat, remote trunk release and remote mirror. I am sure an option has been missed, but this car sure came well equipped from the factory. The good news is it's all there and waiting to be restored. The engine is number matching with the serial number clearly visible. Condition of the car is not quite ideal; it was definately a yard find with the elements taking a toll on the entire car. Interor components have dried and cracked with the headliner split in several locations. The photos speak for themselves. The exterior is sundried with it's original paint. No bondo or repairs are evident; there are a few creases here and there which are visible also in the photos. There are no parts missing, the buick letters on the trunck have been replated and the passenger side vent trim was removed to refinish as well. The trunk floor has significant rust from a leaking rear window; the rest of the car is SOCAL solid! I put a battery into the car to see how the accessories operated; seemed like about half the windows functioned but others did not move at all. I have several cars in restoration right now, this one would be out several years so I feel compelled to sell it now and let her have a chance at a new life. Feel free to call with questions regarding the car; 970-396-1587 mountain time.
