I will go over this suv in detail so there are no suprises. I strive to be an honest and accurate seller(check my feedback). If I do miss anything, please feel free to ask, this will be an absolutely no reserve auction, and the high bidder at the end will own it!! Lets start with the exterior. This vehicle is in amazing condition for the year and miles. This has a beautiful dark blue paint with sporty grey accent trim. Although this is a used vehicle and you should expect normal wear and tear for a 2004, I am confident in saying it is above average condition, with very little signs of wear other than the occasional door ding, scratch or scuff. Nothing major, no damage, very clean SUV. I would give it an honest 8/10 for exterior condition. The alloy wheels are in good shape, and other than a small chip in windshield that I tried to show in a pic, the glass is all in great condition. This is out of any sight lines, and very minor, but it is there. Now the interior. This is very clean inside as well. There are no tears or stains on the seats, the floors are in excellent shape with like new factory floor mats. The dash and door panels are all excellent with no cracking, rips, tears, or damage. The side of the drivers seat has a little bit of cracking, very minor, can hardly even see it in the pic, and it is on the side bolster where the door shuts against it, but I wanted you to be aware of it. The power equipment all works great, and this is just really nice. Solid 9/10 inside for the year. Again, expect normal wear and tear, but I can't see anyone being dissapointed in this car. The mechanical condition of this Explorer is very good. The engine runs great with no misses, it does not smoke, knock, tick or anything like that. The 4.0L is a strong engine that still gets about 25 on the highway. The transmission goes through the gears smoothly, no hard shifts, shudders, or abnormal noise. The air is ice cold, and the tires are matched michelins that have about 20% left on them. They were rotated well and have very even wear, they are not new, but I would think another 15,000 miles or more of service wouldnt be out of the question. It steers tight and goes down the road straight. I recently had a new wheel bearing and upper ball joint with alignment done, it really does ride nice. There is a slight vibration up around 50 MPH, it is very minor and never bothered me, I suspect it could be the tires, I've found that once tires get some miles on them you tend to get that kind of stuff, but it never botherd me enough to buy new tires, and is hardly noticable. I also did U-Joints and a Ford motorcraft LOF in the last 500 miles, so it is ready to drive anywhere. I would not hesitate to take this anywhere in the US. So thats my 2004 Ford Explorer, a very capable and nice SUV that will make anyone a nice vehicle for many more miles. This also has a class III factory hitch on it with the transmission cooler for towing your toys. As I said, this is no reserve.
