Seriously. This is a 1954 Volkswagen Beetle. You're looking at what is possibly the most original 1954 Oval Window Bug on the planet. No aftermarket stuff here. Everything on the car is original. It's never been hit, all the glass is original. Fenders, hood, rear surround; everything. Beautiful barn finds are getting difficult to find. This may qualify in the top percent of finds. This Oval, despite sitting for many, many years, started, ran and drove with little encouragement. Kevin simply cleaned out fuel tank, swapped out petcock, tossed in a battery, a bit of ether and...away it went. Smoothly, smokelessly and with amazing ease. This original motor (numbers match) runs beautifully with only 81k on the clock. Original 6 volt. The body is in fantastic condition. There are almost no dents (two golfball-sized guys). Rust is confined to the battery tray area. Pan is original and floors/foot areas are solid. Has original radio. Some of the little things, such as the original glove box cardboard, original handhold loops with aluminum hooks for hanging your suit in back, clean 100mm aluminum VW gas cap and so on make this car the original beauty that it is. Oh, and rare EGG TAILLIGHTS. Wheels have what Kevin believes are the original beauty rings. Paint/patina is tre` cool. All appears completely original, including fenders, H apron (never hit or replaced), W-decklid, ribbed doors, interior, etc Interior is not exceptional, but it is okay; original and complete. If you are looking for an original oval that has never been cut up or soiled by a prior owner, with NO discernible non-original parts or mods this could be it. Vin number - 10788293Engine number - 16911308Body number - 703495 A challenge: Try and find a great running, solid, nearly rust-free, '54 oval with semiphores that has NOT had anyone alter it in any way for anything close to this kind of money.
