Vehicle Detail

Hey Joe Consumer! Do you yearn for a powerful vehicle but possess miniature human beings that prevent you from owning a 2 door sports car? Do you need to impress clients with a car that looks grown up but want a car that doesn't drive like a Toyota Camry? Of course you do! This is a 4 door sports car. Now before you go all crazy on me and tell me it's a 4 door luxury sedan, it's that too but this particular version is optioned with the sport package and manual transmission and when combined with the 360 horsepower engine you get something that is so incredibly fun to drive that you'll wonder why you ever wanted that sports car in the first place. Let's start with the basics:Make: BMWModel: 550i SportMileage: 87xxxExterior Color: SilverInterior Color: BlackFeatures installed on this car:Active Xenon headlights that "steer" around turns Harman Kardon Logic 7 Stereo System - If you're shopping for a 5 series make sure it has this. The standard audio system leaves a lot to be desired. If you don't see speakers on the rear door panels then the car doesn't have it. Leather sport seatsMoonroof18" Staggered sport wheels (285mm rubber in back)Cold weather package (headlight cleaners, heated seats, heated steering wheel)Automatic headlights, automatic windshield wipersPark Distance Control - Sonar parking aid for front and rear of the car alerts you audibly and visually when you're getting to close to an objectSport package (see below for more info)6 Speed Manual Transmission - No issues with clutch chatter, engagement or anything else. No signs of slipping. Quote for clutch replacement is only $1100 including parts and stock sachs clutch but it doesn't need this service.Bluetooth iPod Connection Kit (interfaces through iDrive)This is what makes the car different: the sport package. The sport package gives you a few upgrades that make the car an absolute joy to drive. They are:Active Steering - Steering ratio changes with speed. Active suspension - sway bars get firmer when you're turning which means the car doesn't ride super harsh during normal driving but stays really flat when turning. Lower ride - Slightly lowered ride height translates to lower center of gravity and better handling18" Sport Wheels - Staggered (245mm tires in front/ 285mm in rear) Shadowline trim - Black trim around windows instead of chromeSport Seats - Lumbar, thigh extensions, better side support, etcMechanically the car is perfect. It drives strong, it shifts smoothly and rides without any clunks or other funky sounds. The 550's are pretty reliable overall and I wouldn't expect any issues from it. It will need new rear tires relatively soon. Aesthetically, the car is just about perfect and certainly doesn't have the nicks and scratches you'd expect from a 6 year old vehicle. On a scale of 10 I'd say the exterior is a 9.5. I can't stress enough how nice the condition of the car is. The only thing I would note is very minor finish issues with the wheels and some mild curb rash. The interior is also excellent. There are no rips or tears in the leather, no heavy wear (not even on the bolsters), nothing. The worst would be standard wear on the steering wheel. To explain how uptight I am about the interior, it still has the temporary plastic floor mats the dealer gives you and then over that I have winter mats that catch all water, snow, dirt, etc. So if it's so awesome why are you selling? - Upgrading to an M5. Yeeeehawwww! Got any questions? Drop me a line. I don't bite (usually).
