It is really difficult to part with this vehicle. I have owned it for the past 13 months and have put a lot of money and work into it. I have purchases the car at a Ford dealer in New Jersey who had it as a trade in. Before me the car had one owner, an elderly gentleman. I have only driven the car in the spring and summer, this is my second car. Now, due to financial reasons I am not able to sustain two cars and both of them are for sale actually. While owning this vehicle I have done much maintenance and upgrades on it to improve usability and performance. For those who do not know, this is a very rare car, high pressure turbo with a manual transmission. I've spent 2 years looking for this car initially so that makes it even harder to part ways with it. Mechanically is in amazing shape. Original clutch and has never seen winter, always garage kept by myself and the first owner. Some of the highlights are the engine, 2.3 exhaust driven high pressure turbo producing 252 BHP, manual 5 speed with a hydraulic clutch, Dolby Surround stereo, one button operation soft top. When you have the top down there is still space in the trunk for your gear. Power memory and heated driver and passenger seats. Power operated driver and passenger forward-folding seats to let someone into the back. The car is in an amazing shape. There are some tiny paint chips on the front bumper, normal for a 7 year old car, but no dings or scratches anywhere. The top has no curs, holes or tears in it; works very well and in excellent condition. Problem parts on this car such as the driver's window regulator, alternator, battery have already been replaced. The car needs nothing except a good driver and a new home... Here are some of the mods and updates I have made: -new brakes at 42,000 miles; both pads and all 4 rotors from FPGroton, stainless steel braided brake hoses -fuel filter from FPGroton -K&N air filter -AMB corner and headlight complete kit -stainless steel strut brace from OBX version 2 -heavy duty alternator from BOSH -A new battery (I think interstate but not sure....) -A new driver's window regulator. This is a weak part on these cars, and a $600 replacement that you wont have to worry about -A new Jensen touchscreen MP3/DVD/Navigation, double din, direct fit for the original stereo that skipps CDs like crazy! With remote control, and protective film still on -Volvo Pegasys '17 X 8 "R" rims with Sumitomo tires at 42,000 miles Also comes with the car: -all 3 keys, 2 sets with remote entry plus a valet key -Jensen Nav unit remote control and books, it has a USB/AUX input with a cable -All original books (manual, service record book with service records) -clean title in hand Issues: -the aerial antenna does not go all the way down. Stays up about 3 inches. Never bothered me enough to replace. It is a $70 part, I checked into it... -there is a tiny scuff on the leather on the interior back quarter panel, highlighted in red on one of the pics below
