Low reserve auction.Up for SALE by private seller is a used minivan: 1999 Oldsmobile Silhouette GL Extended Length Minivan 3.4L V6 Engine 4-Speed Automatic Transmission Silver Mist Exterior Gray Cloth Interior Mileage: under 111,000 General Description: We are the original and only owners of this mini-van. Photograph of original Original Window Sticker is included in listing. Sticker price when purchased new on August 30, 1999 was $26,475.00 We have never owned pets (well, except for gold fish), and we are non-smokers (no one has ever smoked in this van). The van has taken good care of us, but after almost 13 years have decided it was time for a change. We have been very pleased with this minivan. This is the extra-long version of this van. With the seats folded down, you can slide 4 ft. by 8 ft. sheet goods on the van and close the hatch. I have noticed that most people selling cars on ebay do not give much detail about the cars they are selling. I feel it is best to give the buyer as much detail as possible in the listing. That is what I like when I am shopping on ebay. So, there is a bunch of detail listed below. Please do not hesitate to ask any questions for additional information. I am more than happy to answer. I will attempt to list every detail I can about the condition of the van. The list below contains all the signs of wear and non-functionality I can think of with the vehicle: · Intermittently, the check engine light has been coming on lately. The code associated with the light is P0440, and has something to do with the EVAP system (Evaporative Emission System). Light has been coming on every couple of months for the last 8 months or so. The light either goes off by itself over time, or a couple of times I have turned it off myself with my code reader. The car still runs the same, so I do not know how this emissions flag is effecting anything. With the check engine light off, the minivan recently passed the state emissions test here in Illinois. · Rear window washer fluid no longer works. However, the rear wiper works fine. · The exhaust system on this car originally had a muffler, a catalytic converter, and a resonator (small secondary muffler). While on a trip recently, the exhaust pipe cracked off right at the back of the rear Resonator (small muffler). I did not want exhaust to get into the car right under our kids sitting in the back row, so I brought it to a muffler shop right away. Turns out the resonator is a special order part (comes preassembled to pipe leading to catalytic converter), and none of the shops in the area could get the part in less than two days. So instead, they offered to replace the resonator with a straight pipe. This got us back on the road in an hour. The system is still legal, because it still has a muffler and catalytic converter. The tone of the exhaust changed slightly, but was not any louder. The proper part was quoted at about $230 to install by Midas, and about $280 to install by Merlin's Muffler and Brake. I assumed I would replace the resonator if the pipe ever failed again (it has not). · A small hole was repaired with Bondo in the right rear quarter panel at the bottom by the rear door. A small hole developed that caused the back most bottom piece of plastic side trim molding to hang. The hole was filled with bondo in order to reconnect the trim clip to hold on the trim. Please see included photograph. · One of the light bulbs is out on the radio control panel. At night it is difficult to see the #2, #3, #5, and #6 station preset buttons. Functionality is not affected. · A small door scuff mark is noticeable on the bump trip on the passenger door. · Scuff in paint in center of passenger side sliding door from a car in a parking lot. · Small door ding left rear quarter panel by rear taillight (not through paint). · A few other small scuffs in exterior. · A couple spots of paint had peeled on hood. I repainted with custom mixed, matching, spray, touch up paint. The hood of this car is actually made out of aluminum and not steel. The oxidation on the aluminum was easy to sand, and the touch up color came out pretty close. Painted with primer, then touch up paint, and then clear coat. Please refer to photograph of lower edge of front of hood (by drivers side headlight assembly and by Oldsmobile logo). · The car was never in a moving accident. However, once a neighbor backed into the right front corner while car was parked in driveway. His insurance covered replacement of turn signal light assembly, and repainting of fender and bumper. · The front tires have plenty of tread on them, but the rear tires are getting close to the wear indicators. · New front brake pads. · New front Tie Rods. · Replaced front sway bar in 2010. The original equipment bars are hollow tubes that typically fatigue. Replacement bar is upgrade solid bar. · No rips or stains in seats. · Three original cargo nets included (two in back, one next to drivers seat). · New premium shocks in back. · New premium struts in front. · Comes with the two original key fobs. However, both need new batteries. All features are functional using the keys manually (yes, you can still turn a key in a lock). · The only somewhat-major engine repair, a number of years ago, was I had the intake gasket replaced (2005). · Replaced filters and serpentine belt regularly. · Thermostat was replaced once. · Oil has been changed every 4,000 miles. · A/C (Air Conditioning) works well. · Recent front brake rotors. · Owner's manual included. · Has DieHard Battery · Hood prop retainer clip fell off recently, so I replaced with a twist tie. Please refer to photo. · Body is very straight. · Title is clear.
