Vehicle Detail

I hate to do this but Im am not in a position to fix the minor work the car needs or to have 2 cars running at this time. This is my 2001 Volvo S80, A great running and looking car. I recently drove to Florida and back with no problems ( I never expected there to be one). This was given to me by my Granddad at 75k miles. I have every record of any work being done on it. Its never broke down on me or given me a unexpected problem. I CANT STRESS THIS ENOUGH, EVEN THOUGH IT NEEDS A FEW MINOR THINGS FIXED IT RUNS 100% AND LOOKS GREAT. Now that that's out of the way. The car does need a problem addressed to pass emissions though. I haven't had it inspected either. I took the car into the dealership to have a warning light looked at and to give the car a once over. They told me I would need to replace the DIM (Driver Instrument Module). Its a circuit type board behind the dash that controls the radio, power windows and all the electronic stuff in the cabin. They told me it would be $1800 to fix it and I left at that. After talking around I found out the board doesn't have to be replaced just re-soldered. You can either do it at home or send it to a company for $300-400, its a 2-3 day total process. The specific warning it is giving is SRS Warning. When it happened I lost the controls that are on the steering wheel for the radio and cruse control and the lights that illuminate the A/C part of the console don't come on...that it, nothing serious just 2 sets of ease of access controls and a set of lights that don't come on. Volvo also said I needed to replace the timing belt. its a $150 part but they wanted $1500. I guess that's why its called the steelership. They didnt say anything about it but I think the steering fluid needs to be flushed and replaced, theres a low noise sometimes when turning left and a low speed. The next things I list are minor things. The A/C needs to be recharged, I tried it today and it didn't get icy cold like it did last year. The driver side headlight wiper broke and is not currently on (the wiper itself not the motor) 1 lug nut went missing, I have no idea how this happened On the outside it has its wear for a 11 year old car, most notably... 2 marks on the passenger side fenders from some jerk lightly scraping me while parked (see pictures) and some other jerk opening his door on my causing a dent (cant notice it unless you look at a angle) Aside from those it does look really great and shines really well after a wax or wash. Aside form those things this car is great. It runs perfect and I wouldn't hesitate to drive it to Cali and back. If I didnt list something above it is working well. Im not going to hide a single thing. Going to the interior. This car brought my daughter home 7 years ago so it has had a small family use it. It looks really well overall, only a few notable spots. The driver seat shows signs of use of course. The hidden pop up cup holder broke off from me leaning a wrong way over it. The center console where you put your arm shows wear. In the back, my then little daughter, left a crayon on the carpet on a summer day and it melted, its about a 1inch spot under the seat. Its under driver seat. She also spilled something that left a 2-3inch mark on the other side, both spots are hidden by the car mats. Its on the passenger back floor. As said above due to the DIM the controls for the radio and cruse control on the steering wheel don't work and the lights on the A/C console don't come on. All due to the DIM. Car is currently off the road and parked in our barn. Other things. The tires are decent, about 45% in the front and 90% in the back. Ill try to have them rotated before auction ends along with a oil change. If I didnt make a note of something it works and looks great! It would take too long for me to list every single great thing about this car but that's why there's pictures. I will go through the maintenance records and update this posting with notable work don't to it. If you have any questions message me. If you are interested I would rather you come by and look at in person just to be safe. Price is not set in stone. Full Photo Album Link flickr com/photos/76787997@N02/7238416648/in/photostream/lightbox/ You have to add the "dot" between flickr and com. Im sorry about that but I cant get the interior pictures to show up. Plus they are bigger then the ones ebay gives. I have to add this to cover me. All of the above is 100% all that is known to me. I cant foresee car troubles but as it is now its a great running car. Im not giving any warranty and Im selling it AS-IS. AS-IS sounds dirty but I have to add it. It really is a great driving/looking car.
