For your consideration is a 1961 Beetle/Bug with pre ‘57 oval ragtop graft. The graft was professionally done many moons ago and looks great- the only give-away from the inside is the 1961 dash. This car has a dual port 1600 engine, Wolfgang Safari windshield, rear pop-outs, front vent windows, correct ragtop height roof rack, windshield visor, wicker shelf, “W” engine lid, Swan neck mirrors, over-rider bumpers and fog lights. All upgraded parts can easily be removed and converted back to OEM standards should you so desire. Surfboard is included. 12v conversion with 2012 Sony cd player and 4 speakers. Interior looks great- with new carpet, seat covers, door panels, rag top and headliner…Headliner looks better than the raw metal but honestly didn’t come out as planned and should be redone should “show quality” be your intent. This car has a lot going for it but is not perfect. It needs the king/link-pins repacked and 2 new tubes in the rear tires (slow leaks). Port-a-walls are tired and need to be replaced (tubes and port-a-walls included). Roof rack needs new wooden slats and the ragtop Goldie handle broke off the top locking mechanism. The pictures speak for themselves but feel free to ask questions as I have nothing to hide but please remember that this is a 50 year old car so no silly questions please. This car runs, drives and stops well and is a great start for a restoration or drive it as is for many years to come. Due to it's age it is beig sold as is, where is with no warranty implied and being offered at NO RESERVE. I have a large basket of parts to go along with the sale such as new seat belts, master cylinder, brake lines, Torsion bars, steering stabilizer, etc. Some rust in the normal spots (under the battery) and on the side step. Title is clear and in our names so no BS at the Dept. of Motor Vehicles. $3100 in receipts-all within the past year Vehicle VIN: 3505182 (built date between Nov & Dec 1960). I looked in the “normal” spot for the body vin plate and did not see it but did find a decal from the Washington State Patrol about a VIN relocation so that set my mind at ease and should give buyer piece of mind about the body and chassis “matching”.
