Rare barn find - this is the original MACDADDY of the Power Wagon, a 1958 Dodge Power Giant, Short Bed, Step Side 4X4. The Honeybadger spent its early life in the Southwestern desert so all its panels are in excellent condition (light surface rust only) - all frame and panels are rock solid. Has rare full curved rear glass (intact), and rare factory power steering. Engine is not numbers matching, but a rebuilt Dodge 318 V8 2bbl, turns over fine and starts, truck will drive around the farm yard just fine, brake lines and brakes are new, and tires are brand new. Wheels were removed and blasted and painted. All parts are there to finish this rare classic (All four fenders, all bed sides etc.). Front and rear bumpers could be suitable for moving a house, tree or anything else that gets in the Honeybadger's way - and for real tough spots it has a Braden winch driven by drive shaft off the engine. Only things missing or needing to be addressed are wood flooring for bed and the tailgate is there but has many bends/welds/dents - included with the truck will be 2 new tailgate "skins" with the DODGE named embossed which would be suitable for bringing that area up to the right level. Honeybadger began as an all ivory colored truck from factory but was converted to its work colors (Sante Fe RR) upon entering its time in the southwest in late 50's. Has spent its most recent life kept literally in a barn in North Carolina. Truck comes with clear NC title. Will also include service and parts manuals and misc spare parts. Truck will need to be picked up in Apex NC and trailered by winning bidder. Received some questions for photo of tailgate, updated listing with picture of original tailgate and the new skins that could be used to restore tailgate I have added photos as follow up to recent requests for additional info, they include picture of power steering unit, the data plate on driver door jamb - note 108" wheelbase confirmation (Short bed), picture of right side front, older photo of the Honeybadger when it first arrived on farm (all panels installed), and some of the misc parts (lights/lenses/extra dash plates etc)
