Very Rare Con-Ferr VW Dune Buggy. This is the same type Chassis that was used in the Steve McQueen Thomas Crown Affair Movie car. Body is a CV type Meyers Manx Chassis is a Model A Con-Ferr which is much stronger than a VW pan and originally used a VW Link Pin front Beam and a Corvair Rear. This one has been converted to VW Swing AxleI have owned this car for about 10 years, I had intended to restore it, but just don't have the time or the money to do so. Exterior is in good condition, no major flaws. Previous owner started to restore it, I bought it like you see in the picsI have some additional parts not pictured, like the dash insert, e brake handle gauges and might still have the shifter. Car is located in the Dallas area, you will have to arrange picking it up, but I will assist in loading if needed.There is no engine and I do not know the condition of the trans. This is a restoration project car that will be a much better driving car than a standard vw pan buggy and will only go up in value.These are very rare cars as they cost quit a bit more when new compared to a standard Meyers Manx.
