Vehicle Detail
This truck with it's 2.2 liter engine spent it's life in Tennessee, where it was last licensed in 1995, then it spent the last 17 years in a barn in Michigan. Just this spring it was pulled from the barn. The cylinders were oiled, the gas tank was flushed and sealed, the radiator was cleaned, the rear brake lines and wheel cylinders were replaced, then it was started. Runs, but needs work. The engine has low compression on one cylinder (stuck rings from sitting?), the brakes are soft (probably need more bleeding), the electrical isn't all working (turn signals, gauges, etc.), and it needs a muffler. It does run well enough that I drove it home (6 miles), and I noticed that the automatic transmission doesn't shift as cleanly as I'm used to--sometimes it kinda slides into the next gear. (Maybe it needs a can of Seafoam Transmission Treatment?) The left wheel-end CV boot is split. Comes with a set of 14" rims and a set of 13" rims. There is virtually no rust on the body panels of this vehicle, but there are a few minor dents and scapes that should be easily repaired. I have taken pictures of all the flaws I've noticed. (There is white paint rubbed off on the left rear fender flare, that doesn't show up in the glare of the photo, but it doesn't seem to have damaged anything.) There is a maybe 3-inch rust hole on the left floor pan, and a rust spot on the right pan (see picture). Frame rails seem good--I poked them all around the front suspension with a screw driver and could not find any weak spots. The corduroy seats are BADLY deteriorated. Seller reserves the right to end auction without warning for local sale. Full payment will be expected to pay within 7 days after the auction ends. The vehicle must be picked up in 14 days. Michigan law requires that the buyer and the seller appear at the Secretary of States office to transfer title, or that the seller keep a copy of the completed title (including sale date, amount, and buyer's name, address, and drivers license number) and I will be following the letter of the law on this, as I have already had one car come back to haunt me 4 years after I sold it.
