You are bidding on a 1926 Ford Model T Roadster. This is not a restored show car but it is a fun driver. This car was purchased by my father about 15 years ago and has spent most of that time in heated storage. My father passed away several years ago and the family wants the car to go to a good home. Here is a list of the work just done to get it up and running again: New Optima 6 volt battery, new fan belt, one new coil (the rest check out in good condition), new amp guage, generator cleaned up and working, carb. rebuilt, transmission bands adjusted, etc. Most of this work was preformed by a 90 year old Ford mechanic who has been working on these model T's for the last 75 years. I will try and describe the good points: The car seems to run and drive good and it has the ruxstell rear end. All of the lights work even the dash light, the horn works, the tires are in good condition, the top is good with the exception of the back window that is faded. The engine has an aftermarket water pump installed that was just repacked and greased. The windshield wiper works Fenders and running boards are in great shape, not dents or rust damage. The seat is in good condition as are the door panels. There are aftermarket door handle extensions installed also. Car will come with a complete set of side curtains and rods. Now for some of the not so good things: The lower body has had some sheet metal replaced with galvanized metal, this is the part that the paint is peeling off. There are a few oil leaks from the engine and rear end, not real bad but the car does leave a few drips when you park it. The hood has damage (a new hood is included with the car). The entire car could use a new paint job. This is not a restored car, but would make a good driver or a fun project for someone. Please bid only if you are serious, don't waste my time or yours. Car is available for inspection or to take it for a drive. New owner is resposible for all transportation costs. Full payment must be made before the car is moved.
