1960 International harvester : 85,645 original miles Engine - 304 V8 rebuilt five years ago, Heads do have hardened valve seats, use unleaded gas, Holly 2 barrel carb, dual exhaust. Transmission - 4 speed manual, new clutch. Clutch install and one exhaust manifold replaced, and other manifold machined with new gaskets total parts and labor $1232.29 done in 2008. Frontend is tight, this truck will amaze you how well it runs and drives. This is a 1 ton with factory power steering and factory power brakes. It rides like a half ton, On the Interstate you can take your hand off the wheel at 65 mph it tracks straight down the road. I believe the reason the truck tracks so straight down the road and is so stable and true, is because the International factory power assist consists of two assists, one on each side, along with an aftermarket steering stabilizer combined with a tight frontend. I have driven a lot of solid axle older trucks and cars and nothing compares to the way this one rides and drives. The engine is really smooth and has tons of torque, transmission shifts smoothly, all electrical work, all guages, temp, oil pressure, voltage, fuel and so on, the dash lights, windshield wipers, turn signals, park lights, even the turn cancel in the column, everything works. The body is top notch. This body is as solid as it gets, I cannot find rust anywhere. The doors open and shut with one finger, the door glass rolls up and down nice and easy, the windshield has no cracks, the factory trim is all in place. The truck has factory 16 inch steel wheels with radial tires. The interior is in beautiful condition, the seat has been reupholstered, the rubber floor mat is original with the IH stamp on it. There is an antique brass fire extinguisher mounted under the column. The truck appears to have been completely restored at some point several years ago. Someone took an extremely solid clean low mileage truck and went through it. The paint is a little faded and there are chips and normal wear to the paint.
