1978 Mercury Cougar XR7 2 Door Sedan Sporty Coupe. This is truly a CLASSIC. Assembled in Lorain OH, this at the time was the best performance model that they made. Exterior Paint is immaculate just being redone and looking sharp. It is silver with a burgundy landau top. The interior is all vinyl (burgundy) in great shape with normal wear and tear from a car being this old. There is less than 100,000 miles on the car (90,874 actual mileage) making it even more rare. Under the hood is the V-8, 5.0 Liter 302/2V engine with matching serial numbers with automatic transmission. It offers tilt wheel, AC, cruise control, AM,FM stereo, power windows and power door locks. Bringing this cat to a stop are power front disk brakes that were all just redone and is equipped with power steering. The tires are basically new, shiny and bright with nice chrome rims. Luxury is written all over this 1978 XR7. The car was well maintained and shows it in every way. Some of the recent work done to the vehicle is as follows. Front brake service: 2 front calipers, 2 front rotors, 2 front brake hoses, 2 front inner wheel bearings, 2 front outer wheel bearings, 2 front wheel seals. Rear brake service: 2 rear wheel cylinders, rear brake hardware, brake fluid. It just got a new gas cap, plus the valve cover gaskets, air filter, breather element, and rubber fuel line to the carb and fuel pump were all replaced. Bid with confidence.
