THIS 1965 LE MANS HAS BEEN IN STORAGE IN NORTHERN CALIFORNIA SINCE 1989 AND IS A TWO OWNER CAR THIS IS A NICE BUILDER CAR. THE VIN AND TRIM TAG ARE ORIGINAL TO THIS CAR AND THIS CAR WILL COME WITH A CLEAR CALIFORNIA TITLE. THE FACTORY OPTIONS ARE THE FOLLOWING. THE ORIGINAL 326 V8 250 HP, 2 SPEED TRANS, 10 BOLT REAR END, INTERIOR COLOR IS TURQUOISE CODE 214, THE FACTORY COLOR IS TEAL TURQUOISE METALLIC CODE L-3,TINTED GLASS CODE W, POWER TOP, AIR CONDITIONING CODE K, FACTORY AM/FM RADIO CODE P. THE BODY-Over all this body is in good condition for being a original 1965 Le Mans convertible body. The factory floor pans will need sum minor attention but are repairable they look to have a few pin holes but are not comply rotted out. The original tunnel is in good condition and has not been beat on or cut on. The fire wall has not been beat on or bashed in with a hammer and is in good condition. Both quarter panels are original to the car and are in good condition and still have the factory splatter paint on them they will not need to be cut off and replaced. Both quarter panels are straight while looking down the sides and have not been crashed in to or been beaten on they are not full of bondo their are a few small bubbles on the drivers side down low behind the rear tire. The tail light panel is original to the car and is in good condition and this panel has not been crashed in to you will not have to replace this panel. Both the original doors are also in good condition they have not been crashed in to and do not have big rust bubbles or pinholes on the bottoms of the doors. The driver’s front fender is original to the car and is in good condition and is reusable but it does have a small patch down low that is lifting you will need to repatch the lower section of this fender at some point. The passenger fender is also original to the car and is better condition with no visible patches this is a clean reusable fender. The body lines and gaps are nice on this car and the doors open and close nicely. The original inner and outer rocker panels are in good condition and are solid. You will not need to weld or patch on the rockers panels. The convertible top frame in good condition with only light surface rust and this top is not bent or twisted up this is a reusable top frame. The windshield pillars and upper windshield area both out side and inside are rust free and is in good condition. The metal dash down by the windshield area has light surface rust only and is solid the top of the dash should not need to be patched and is not rusted out. There is a rot spot by the driver’s side ac vent that will need to be fixed. The hood is original to the car and is in good condition and is not bowed in the center. The trunk pan is rusty and it might be saved but probably should be replaced. The upper trunk area where the convert top retracts into has some surface rust but is solid and you will not need to repair this area. The rear tires housings have been under coated back in the day and there is no sings of bubbles or raised rusty area. THE PAINT- This is an older decent repaint of the original color and it is showing its age its good enough to drive around. THE INTERIOR- The inside of this car is all original and is all intact. The dash cluster and the original steering wheel are intact. The original seats are also intact. The original am/fm radio and knobs looks to be in reusable condition. THE MOTOR- Is the original 362 v8 that suppressing runs good and smooth the original owner had it rebuilt at some point. The ac compressor is missing. THE TRANS- The original 2 speed trans shifts good and was also rebuilt at some point by the original owner. THE REAR END- Is in good working order and does not clunk or howl. THE FRONT END- The front end suspension looks original and the cat steers straight but should be rebuilt to be safe. THE BRAKES-The brakes do work but should be inspected before driving this car due to the car being parked for so long. THE ELECTRICAL- The electrical in the car has been cut on and will need to be replaced but the car will start off the ignition. The power top rams and the pump is all intact but the electrical is dis connected and I dont know if it works or not. THE BRIGHT WORK- The stainless steel on the car is original and is all in good condition. The bumpers are straight but will need to be rechromed THE OVER ALL- This is a very restorable car that would make a great GTO clone and overall this body is straight and does not look to be full of bondo and due to the age of the paint this is a face value car.
