Up for sale is my very good friends’ Volkswagen Rabbit. Due to the fact that she is relocating permanently to Florida, and starting a new job with a company vehicle, there is no equitable reason for her to have this vehicle any more. The car runs AMAZING. All mechanical functions work properly; the drive train has been meticulously maintained throughout its ownership by her, and the engine and automatic transmission function very well. The suspension has been maintained and hugs the road as it should. There is 50% tread life left on the tires. The starting system, has been upgraded with a new starter and alternator installed in the last 10,000 miles and the brakes were recently serviced within the last 6,000 miles. The battery is also only 10 months old. The interior is free from any rips and tears and a good cleaning and armor all treatment will bring out its original shine and luster. The exterior is in decent shape for a car of these years. The body still holds a shine, and with a good compound and detail, the car will shine right up. Two 3 inch in diameter rust through holes by the front wheel wells have some erosion but this is easily repairable by any qualified auto body shop. The Convertible top, functions as it should, but has three small holes that need attention with a repair or a complete replacement. The replacement top is readily available and is only $149.95 on eBay. The bottom line is the car is an excellent running vehicle with some need of cosmetic repair, and is a true Volkswagen Classic can get almost 35 miles per gallon on the highway.
