Vehicle Detail
Hello everyone and thanks for viewing my auction. This 1985 GMC Sierra 1500 Classic Short Bed “wide side” has been in my home town since new. It still retains its factory original two tone paint. The paint scheme is Desert Sand/Saddle tan. The truck has always been kept in a garage and has never been abused. The factory 305 V8 has never been rebuilt nor has it ever had anything done to it. It still runs excellent and can be driven anywhere. The factory three speed automatic still works great and shifts perfectly with no issues as well. I would trust this truck to me anywhere. I also have tons of documentation. Even an original bill of sale when it was bought pre owned in the early 90s. The second owner (who I bought it from) has owned it for nearly 20 years. Now, please bare with me as I attempt to describe the truck from front to back. Exterior: I want to start by saying that there is absolutely no rust anywhere on the truck. The hood has a small amount of paint fade, but is super straight with no issues. The fenders are excellent. The front bumper is straight. The grill and headlight surrounds have some small minor cracking here or there. The body side moldings don’t look very good. They are old and are beginning to crumble. The doors and cab are absolutely superb. Both bed sides are excellent. On the bottom of the passenger’s side bed side, there was a small repair done with a puller. This is at the very rear where the bottom of the bed side meets the rear bumper. This was done to pull a dent out. It can be seen in the pictures and isn’t noticeable to most people. There is a metal rock guard mounted on each side of the bed side in front of the wheel well. It doesn’t look bad at all, but isn’t factory. The inside of the bed is so nice. It does have some scuffs and scrapes, but no holes, no rust, and no issues. Below are some pictures of the exterior so you can see what I have just described: Interior: The interior on my 85 Sierra is actually not bad at all. There is a spot on the driver’s side lower seat that is worn. The carpet needs cleaning. The door panels are good but have begun to deteriorate at the top. This means that you’ll get some particles on your elbow if you’re driving around with your window down and your arm resting on the window. The radio am/fm still works fine. The windows both work but the passenger’s side window is very slow. It takes about a century for it to climb all the way to the top. The dash is surprisingly excellent with only one crack over by the passenger’s side speaker. All the gauges, signals, and lights seem to work fine with no issues. Here are a few pictures of the interior to better show what I have described: Odometer: Under Hood: Under the hood, the truck is surprisingly very clean. There are no messes and you can tell the truck has never been abused. Everything looks excellent. The breather has lost some of its paint, but that’s about it. Here are a few pictures to show how nice it is under the hood: Here are a few pictures of the VIN and other important labels: Door label: Glove box labels: Engine code on radiator support: VIN: So, as you can see, this truck has been very well taken care of. It will make someone a very proud owner. I have the title in hand in my name and I will include a bill of sale when the money/title is exchanged. The truck is being sold as is with no warranty obviously. Although I know it’s a super nice truck, I cant warranty it, but you are more than welcome to come up for a look and a test drive before you bid. Just let me know in advance. The buyer is responsible for shipping. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me through eBay or call me on my cell. My name is Matt and my cell is 662-416-0900. Thanks again. Good luck and God bless. On May-11-12 at 07:43:34 PDT, seller added the following information: 5-11-12 After giving it much thought, I have decided to lower the reserve to the next bid (which is $3100) and let the auction run its course. I know that judging from what these Sierras and Silverados are bringing, that this price is very very low for a trunk in this shape....so I trust that you will do your part and bid accordingly. I want my truck to go to a good home where it will be used and enjoyed. Good luck.
