LRA Enterprises Presents….. 1969 Pontiac GTO By 1969 the GTO made quite a name for itself. Known for its raw power and massive attitude, the 1969 GTO held its own on the streets with its powerful V8 engine and torque producing TH400 tranny. Most importantly there is no other muscle car that had the name recognition as the GTO. Gran Turismo Omologato. It is an acronym for racing in the GT class. Those three little letters, although “borrowed” from the Ferrari 250 GTO, made GM history in the muscle car era and became one of the most collectible muscle cars today. I wish I could say that this particular GTO was show ready, but it not. But what I can say when she was in her prime, she ruled the roost. We offer this car today as a great project that still has plenty of heart! It also comes with the original build sheet and window sticker. Please read the ad and let us know of any questions. Exterior: The exterior of the car is in pretty decent shape for being original. Still pretty straight with original body panels. It does show some rust in some areas along with minor rot in others. Very minor dings, nicks and scratches. The nose shows some wear too. The trunk is pretty solid but the floors need some attention. Please see the pictures. All the glass is intact and the stainless seems to be in pretty good shape. Around the rear taillights there is some harsh pitting. It also needs a vinyl top replacement. Please look at the pictures and let us know how we can help. Interior: As you can see from the pictures, the interior is in need of a lot of attention. The car does come with a/c and the compressor does engage but blows warm. Notice the “his and hers” shifter. Check out all the pictures of the interior and let me know of anything else you need to see. Drivetrain: The drivetrain is in excellent running condition. The motor is a factory service replacement 400 block and was done probably in the very early 70’s. I’ve supplied a video of how the car sounds. The car runs and shifts good and comes with the original rims. The car is a factory a/c car. Payment: We would ask for a $500 deposit via paypal immediately after auction ends.
