1979 VOLKSWAGEN CLASSIC KARMANN SUPER BEETLE BUG CONVERTIBLE. DRIVE IT HOME! RUNS & DRIVES EXCELLENT!~ I have included 26 pictures for you to use in addition to this item description. Please review the photos thoroughly. I am listing this car for my friend TOM who lives in my town and you can phone him at 513-313-2133 with any questions. GARAGE KEPT. COMES WITH CLEAR OHIO TITLE. Car appears to be original with the exception of a replaced front bumper and aftermarket radio. IT IS A FORMER CALIFORNIA CAR. I have paperwork that it is from San Jose, CA. and I have included a photo of the window sticker below. SOLID FLOOR PANS. SOLID ROCKER PANELS. SOLID FRAME. Chrome is good. Car has been painted a lighter blue at some point in it's lifetime--it's original, factory color is light blue also... 1.6 liter engine with MANUAL 4 speed transmission. (1600 cc.) Doors close well, no dragging. All the lights and turn signals work...gas gauge does not register. White manual convertible top. In useable condition, but you could opt to replace it, it has a couple tears. Cosmetically: Small ding in passenger door. Has been dinged in the front (as pictured.) The front bumper has been replaced at some point, but the dent was never repaired. Could use a new front trunk hood and hinges---or you could repair the existing one. The rubber is coming off the back bumper--could easily be replaced. No carpet, however, you can carpet this car very simply and reasonably online. Power steering. No A/C. Windshield has a crack...rest of the glass is good, the windows roll up and down manually. Has EXCELLENT Firestone 165 R15 86T TIRES! Nice rims--are missing 2 center caps. The interior is in fair condition. The drivers seat is ripped on the side, as pictured. Could be a DAILY DRIVER with a little restoration -- or could be a SHOW CAR if you wanted to repaint, replace the top and do some interior work. The great thing about doing any restoration work to a Beetle is this: The Beetle was one of the most popular cars ever manufactured and original parts and replacement parts are plentiful and very reasonable online.
