Hi Folks, up for bid today is my beloved beastmaster! I have had this baby for 5 years and have loved it. But the kids have gone to college, so no more hauling around the soccer team, softball team, ski team, or driving a truckload of screaming girls to the school dance. No more ski trips to the condo for the weekend(Now no one wants to drive with Dad) No, it just sits in the driveway and gets used maybe once a week. I purchased this from a Ford dealer in Connecticut that took it on trade from the local towns fire department. It was the Fire Chiefs truck. I purchased it with 99,992 miles on it. It is a loaded Limited model. Never in any accidents and all original, still shiny paint with just a few brush touch ups(rock chips, etc.). Leather is in great shape , drivers seat bottom side bolster has wear and has been restitched, but looks good. I have taken very good care of it and have replaced many parts. Recently, within the last 1000 miles it has had oil changed with Mobil 1 (always used, changed every 5000 miles), air filter, new brake rotors, pads, all 4 brake calipers. In the last 10,000 miles it has had front wheel bearing hubs, replaced the 4x4 hubs with stainless Milemarker manual hubs, new front driveshaft(transfer case to front axle), new front sway bar bushings, 4 new KYB gas shocks, KYB Steering dampener, new window switch pak on drivers side, new thermostat, 10 new coil paks, spark plugs, fuel filter. Basically you can tell I have taken care of the truck! Just passed Maine State Inspection. It has been super reliable and its not really the gas pig everybody makes it out to be. I regularly get up to 15MPG on the highway(and not downhill with a tail wind!). OK, with everything good some bad must be evident, so here goes the bad...Needs a GEM module for the four wheel drive to work. Cardone Auto Parts remanufactures these for around $250.00. Next, the framework for the running boards is rusty. When you step on the running board to get in the truck its squishy. I have searched the salvage yards, but around here they are all rusty. I haven't priced these out but it isn't a safety issue. At the front attach point of the drivers side running board on the inner rocker panel there is a rust hole about 2" round. It should be sandblasted, cut out and welded(remember, I live in Maine). Tires have maybe 5000 miles left on them. Lastly is that I have to add a quart of oil every 1500 miles. It hasn't changed or gotten worse in 2 years. That's the full poop folks. Just trying to cover everything. Please feel free to ask any questions.
