Vehicle Detail
Here is my CLEAN 1991 Oldsmobile 88 Royale with 196500 miles on it. This car has been in my family since it was bought new, has been well taken care of, and was NEVER in any major accidents or disasters. CAR FAX CLEANEmailed Offers will be consideredThe car is NY State inspected, registered, starts, drives straight plus smoothly, and has a clean title which is in my hands. I drove the car to Sanford, NC, five months ago from Buffalo, NY. I drove it daily for work and errands and it has been very reliable. The car has many nice features such as: cruise control, ABS brakes, heater, power seats, locks, and windows, seats up too six people, and gets around 26MPG. I have the receipts from the last FIVE years of everything that has been fixed on this car, which totals over $3200, includes: NEW: brakes, starter, exhaust pipes and catalytic converter, stabilizer bar, spark plugs and ignition wires, fuel filter, fuel lines, front end alignment, front window, cruise control, and MUCH more!Receipts: 12/11 New starter + service $317.28 12/11 New stabilizer bar $99.39 7/11 NYS Inspection, flasher, left front stabilizer link $112.35 1/11 Flush heater core, + service $97.82 1/11 New thermostat and gasket, o2 sensor, flush, new spark plugs and ignition wires, transmission flush, + service $544.46 11/10 Coolant flush and fill, starter $239.19 7/10 NYS inspection, replaced linking fuel line $97.51 12/09 All new brake lines, new fuel return line $501.65 10/09 New cruise control $235.45 10/09 Tie rod, brake shoes, wheel cylinder, front end ailment $428.69 7/08 New blower fan with cage $229.47 3/07 New power steering line $156.55 Over $150 in oil changes This list does NOT include other work performed by me or my family such as: new brake pads, tires, rotors, air filters, coolants, etc. The car starts right up and drives great, but there are some minor issues with the car. The car just recently started acting up when after it has been driven for a while. If you turn off the car after driving it a while, you need to wait about 5-10 minutes before the car starts up again. The problem is most likely a bad senor near the CAM shaft, and can be replaced for $225, this is a quote from the AAA in Cary, NC (have receipt from the diagnostics). Just a heads up that there is another sensor that is bad near the CAM shaft but does NOT need to be replaced; it only keeps the check engine light on and affects the car in no way (common flaw for that year). The car has been driving with the 2nd broken sensor since around 125,000 miles. The car also has some small inconveniences, but nothing remotely major. The car's driver-side window does not roll down, the passenger door does not shut properly and is being held shut by rope attached to the seat, the AC needs a new compressor, the hood shocks do not hold up the hood, the ceiling material is being held up with pins, the radio antenna does not go down all the way, and the driver's seat-beat unbuckles at times. I am mentioning all these details so that there are no surprises when you come to see/buy the car, and I would want the same done for me. If you're looking for a solid car at a low price, fixed up and well maintained, it could easily last 300,000+ miles. The car does NOT have any major leaks or odd loud noises, has clean exhaust, oil changed every 3,000 miles, tires rotated every 6,000 miles, and drives smoothly. Please call Joe at 716-319-8619 for any questions or if you would like to test drive it. More pictures coming in the next few days. Exterior 6/10 Small rust spots on a few of the lower panels, none in excess of 8 inches, a small dent on the front left quarter panel, small scratches and chips in the paint, and a few light cracks on the bumpers (the car is silver/gray, cannot notice much). When it is cleaned up, it looks good for its age considering it is over 20 years old. Interior 8/10 Best feature of this car, the inside looks amazing for its age. The seats, carpets, and the interior dash board are basically flawless. No stains or cigarette burns. Roof ceiling is falling down, is held up with pins. Mechanical 7/10 The only thing that needs attention now, is the CAM shaft senor, a $225 fix. Engine and transmission, have been well taken care of, with no known issues other that what I said above. Please call Joe at 716-319-8619 for any questions or if you would like to test drive it. On Apr-25-12 at 16:17:32 PDT, seller added the following information: New pictures just added, to show you more details of the car! Also, the car was washed so that is WATER on the pavement, not fluids. Plus, I want to give more clarification on the car. I said the car drives great, but with the current CAM sensor broken, it does drives a bit rough at the moment. Car was driving great prior to the sensor breaking. Again, I ’m telling you all this so that there are no surprises to you. Thanks for bidding and GOOD LUCK! Winner will get all the receipts and the car fax! On Apr-29-12 at 08:44:09 PDT, seller added the following information: To everyone with ZERO feedback: If you do NOT email me or call my cell phone at 716-319-8619 before you bid, your bids will be removed; or if you bid at the last second and do not pay, you will be reported to eBay and you will be left with negative feedback, making you useless to bid on any eBay auction in the future. Thanks!
