Vehicle Detail
Hello, I bought this from a friend of mine who bought it from the original owner. It sat from 2004 garaged.Old inspection sticker is from 2003 I was going to use it to haul a gooseneck trailer I have but have decided to trade in my daily driven 2010 truck for an other brand new one. Rather than insure two trucks ....so some one will get a cool old GMC here on ebay. First as far as I can tell the truck is all original paint what you see is what you get. It has very little rust is a few tiny spots that should be a easy fix, they are surface but may grind thru but the rust is very minor. The inner front wheel wells has a rust hole on each side of the truck. Again a easy fix. The paint on GM trucks all ended up like this truck the clear went bad and the paint fell off as you can see the truck will need a new paint job to be show ready. Or drive the way it is , it is still a great looking truck. The original owner had put a lot of extras, I don't think any of the fog lights work. The front brush bar is rusted thru the chrome. The wheels are nice but have some rust spots. All new chrome lug nuts. Tires are all fresh off of a truck my friend was trading in at the dealership. The fronts and two rears had only 10k on them the other two on the rear are more worn but still are fine. What the truck WILL NEED ..... I drove the truck 40 miles and it runs and shifts nice. I have never used or tried the 4 wheel drive so I can't say what works, AC is all there but compressor doesn't kick on so would need what ever or just a charge. The right gas tank may have foul or stale gas and have never tried to switch tanks on dash in fear of bad gas. The tank in use on the drivers side is leaking gas. It does drip slow and at times just stays wet, so it will need a tank and or repair. I did drive it like this( but drive at your own risk to get home!) The pass side rear main leaf spring is broken in the middle of the rack and part of a other leaf looks like it may be missing. Still drives fine with the broke leaf but would fix. I had a new aluminum radiator installed. The 454 fuel injected motor runs great but does have a fast idle and was told it may have a leak under the throttle body??. .....I would rather fix these few things than fix a rusted truck. The interior almost like new inside. The drives window works fine, the pass window doesn't go down. Both backs work but are slow and that may be because of the tint stuff on the back windows. The door locks do not work and the pass door switch may be part of the problem....See photo. Non smoker truck, clean clean clean. The head liner is clean but is sagged a bit and could be glued back up. Radio lights up but does not work. It has wires run to outside mirror for a cb, but no CB. Hood is fiberglass and there are no hood springs so you have to use a stick to hold the hood open. Nice clean old truck that is a classic and looks like the gmc truck that is in the movie Lethal weapon 1. But this has the upper silver paint. Please look at the photos of how clean the underside rockers are and the inside door edge. This truck is sold in as is condition for parts or to fix up. There is no warrantee or Guarantee expressed or implied. Title will be filled out with the new owners name at time of pickup. Payment is Cash and only cash, no exceptions. This must be picked up here in Kenvil NJ 07847( North NJ) 10 mins from Exit 30 off RT80 , 40 mins from NYC or the PA Gap. Please, if you bid, it is to purchase the car, not to come a look and decide if you want it. The truck is not available to be seen ,As I work long hours. I can be contacted for questions at my email flower1@nac.net or my cell at 1-973-945-9949 Thanks for looking.Photos tell the rest.
