Vehicle Detail

1971 Plymouth Roadrunner *383 Big Block *Manual Shift *Numbers Matching *Early Build - COMPLETE! F7 Sherwood Green with Y8 Gold stripes! Here it is guys - one of the last bare bones muscle cars of the era! Early build out of St.Louis,MO plant in August of '70. Numbers matching (eng & trans), Build sheet, a very complete Roadrunner. This was a stripper model (base model), Big Block 383/330hp, 3spd Manual trans, Bench seat, Rubber mat car! Don't miss out on the opportunity to own and restore such a rare and unique and complete Roadrunner! Broadcast sheet in very good condition, fender tag misplaced - however, a fender tag can be reproduced with possession of the braodcast sheet. 8&3/4 Rear end w/323 gears, RR hood with 383 call-outs, unique two-tone interior (black and a green cast slate color), Rallye dash w/150 mph Speedometer, front Sway bar,Hypo manifold, Manual Brakes & Steering, 4-wheel Drums, 3-core radiator. The numbers-matching engine is disassembled, but complete. The 23-spline trans is still in the car w/bell housing, shifter, clutch pedal, etc - everything is there. The interior is complete. Seats need re-done as shown, headliner is in good shape w/3 small tears, door panels in good shape, dash pad looks great but does have one crack in it, the RR dash plaque is in excellent condition, gauges in good condition - typical larger cutout for radio with one crack, all seat belts there, window cranks, door handles, etc. Glass in good shape, pass side busted. The exterior is in restorable condition. The fenders are in good shape - pass side has one small rust spot. The doors are solid - spot of rust on DR door. The quarter panels can be repaired with lower patch panels - or replaced- all depending on your level of restoration. Trunk pan is very solid with only surface rust (see photo). The floor pans are solid except for DR footwell - has 2 holes. Rocker panels have light surface rust. Dent in front Pass fender. The bumpers are straight - good cores for re-chroming. Rear valance panel in good shape, front valance needs a little straightening on DR side but not bad, header panel in great shape, hood in very good shape (light surface rust on underside), roof and trunk lid are faded but solid and straight. All stainless/brightwork in very good condition (window mouldings/driprail mouldings). All wiring is there. Police-style wheels in fair shape with poverty caps - gives this rare bird that bare-bones muscle car look that it is. Framerails are solid - surface rust. Have a NEW and complete strobe stripe kit in original Y8 Gold! This is a great candidate for restoration! It will be worth the time and effort and expense. This is a rare car being such an early build- numbers matching- big block- stick shift car! Make no mistake, this will need completely gone through, but it is COMPLETE. Never stripped/modified/molested. A project that has been in storage for almost 12 years - it's time for someone to bring this one back to it's glory......... Will be happy to work with transporters - will have everything loaded safely. Please understand that your bid is a contract to buy, so please be prepared to fully fund your purchase! Please see payment section for details on payment. Will be happy to answer questions to the best of my ability and in a timely manner. ***Please note that thousands of people will view this auction and of those thousands, hundreds are interested and will send me Emails. Of those Emails, I will get several "call me" requests, in which 95% of them don't even give a greeting or tell me a name to ask for at that number. With so much spam & scammers out there - a few Email communications is not too much to ask for before a phone call. In the time it takes someone to email me for them to "call" or to type "I have other questions/need more information" - the question could have been asked in that very Email. Additionally, other phone call requests have lead to someone wanting to reminisce about how they used to have one/know someone who did. As much as I enjoy cars and talking cars, this car is up on auction for a reason - to sell. If you're serious, let's talk about how this car will be yours by being purchased. I can't field the numerous phone call requests - I can Email quite quickly and timely. I am more descriptive than 90% of the auctions out there and have included max amount of photos Ebay will allow. Additionally, just because you are local or live within driving distance doesn't make you a more serious buyer than someone from another state. In fact, I have found the opposite to be true. Local people wanting to 'come look at it' have not been prepared to purchase in any fashion financially - I don't get the point of that. Not out to be visited like a museum, out to sell the car - so unless you have cash in hand and bring a trailer to close the deal, please don't request 'viewings' because you are just 'curious' or have some free time to kill. The car needs work, but is solid in alot of key areas and the title/matching numbers drivetrain and the early build alone is worth the Buy-It-Now. This car done is a high dollar and rare car. I apologize in advance for those that this disclaimer does not refer to, but found it necessary for the others. Thanks! GOOD LUCK - Don't miss out on this opportunity!!! --
