Vehicle Detail
You are bidding on a custom 1972 VW Super Beetle with flat front window. Some of the modifications are new Empi strut lowering kit in front ( set at 2in. will go another 2in. ) Rear has adjustable coilover shocks with chrome springs. All fenders are fiberglass ( 3in. wider than stock ) and are molded into the body. Rear fenders have frenched in 1940 Ford taillights. Custom upper & lower side scoops. Custom made cold air intake on engine hood. Custom made bumpers and front grille. Vintage running boards are metal with louvers. The third brake light is an Iron cross. New TRW master cylinder, front brake lines. Has exhust header. Appliance steel wheels are 15x6 , rear has 1.3in. billet spacers. All wheels are direct bolt pattern ( no adapters). Real tires are Falken ZIEXZ 6512 size 225/60/15 Front tires are Riken Raptor size 185/65/15. All tires are new with less than 100 miles on them. Comes with all body molding that was removed ( sides & hood). Interior redone with custom fit carpet including all door panles. Rear seat was removed and is also carpeted with a lift off panel to allow access to the battery area. Bucket seats are out of a Chrysler Sebring and are very plush & comfortable with built in seat belts. All inside paint ( under dash & door frames ) are done in a special crinkle design with gray primer and yellow paint. Outside of the car is in the same primer.Floor pans are in very good condition and have been cleaned with a wire brush and painted with high gloss enamel paint. A small panel in front on the floor pans has some rust , this panel cost about $50.00.The overhead has a small tear that can be covered up with a VW decal or patch. It's isn't large enough to justify a new overhead. Like most older Bugs, it likes to mark it's territory ( has a small oil leak) I have watched it close, it leaks less than an half quart a year. We bought this VW for an older couple that pulled it behind their RV. It was bone stock when we bought it. We still have the tow bar if you want it. The gentleman said the mileage is original but I have no way of knowing this for sure. There isn't a radio in the car but if you buy it with the buy it now price I will include a brand new radio that has CD and MP3 & brand new set of speakers and a vintage Hurst Indy shifter with an antique glass knob. The good thing about a 72 Super Beetle is that it is the last year with the flat front window and this makes it look like an older beetle but you get the upgrades of the Super Beetle. Car is sold as is where is. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. This car is always garaged and I will keep it for up to 3 weeks at no cost. A $200.00 non refundable deposit by pay pal at end of action is required with balance due within 7 days of end of auction in form of bank money order or cashiers check. Funds must clear before the car is picked up. Good luck and feel free to ask any questions.
