Up for sale is a 1999 Ford ranger with a Cummins turbo diesel 4bt 3.9 L. The 4 cylinder diesel is mated to a freshly rebuilt 5 speed manual transmission ( NV4500) with the granny low 1st gear. Everything in the truck works as if its 100% stock. Currently getting 35mpg in the city and 40+ on the highway. The motor has all of the front accessories off a p-pump 12v cummins.-( alternator with external voltage regulator, a/c, vacuum pump / power steering pump.) A/C blows ice cold. Upgraded the rear axle to a Ford explorer 8.8 with disk brakes and limited slip with a 3.08 gear ratio. Cab lined with sound deadening material to cut back on noise from the engine. Also upgraded the turbo to an HY-35 with 9mm exhaust housing and a 60mm compressor wheel. It has a 6" stack in the bed. Besides that the truck looks and drives as if it were made with the turbo diesel installed from the factory. All the brackets, motor mounts, and hardware were all professionally made to look factory. You will not be disappointed! Just wanted to lay it all out there for everyone. The truck runs very good, AC works perfectly, clutch is good, tranny is smooth shifting, brakes are good, tires are good, no problems with the suspension or diff. The motor does have some blow by and the parking brake is a little weak. With that said it is a fun truck to drive and turns heads everywhere. Keep in mind this is a custom truck and not everything will be perfect, but its been built right and will last a long time if it is taken care of.
