Vehicle Detail

This is a 1969 Triumph TR-6. It has not been driven in 4 years and currently cannot be driven. Needs unspecified engine work to get it to run. Interior renovation needed, i.e., carpeting, etc.. Dashboard needs to be replaced/re-installed. Body in generally good shape, very little rust, but could stand complete repainting. Vehicle will require to be flatbedded to new location. On Apr-18-12 at 17:08:40 PDT, seller added the following information: In answer to many questions about the vehicle's condition and needed repairs, please take note of the following: Although I am the record owner, it is my son's car. I am not knowledgeable about cars but I spoke with the mechanic who serviced it. Typical of a car that has sat 4 years without being started or driven, the entire fuel system has to be cleaned out, including the gas tank. He said the frame was solid, knew of no problems with the transmission, trailing arm mounts; brakes were good; tires probably would have to be replaced as they hadn't moved in 4 years so there probably are flat spots (couldn't tell when I rolled it out for the photos; as stated in the listing, the dashboard had been removed and to replace it requires removing the windshield according to the mechanic. It sits straight and had new shocks put in 4 years ago, so he doesn't think there's any problems with the steering and balance. The interior needs to be re-carpeted; the fold down convertible top mechanism and fabric are good, although the plastic back window is yellowed. Several of the convertible top snaps on the body need to be replaced. Normal 0 0 1 195 1117 9 2 1371 11.1539 0 0 0 I guess the bottom line is that whatever can deteriorate in a car not driven for years has deteriorated in this car. I'm selling it "as is" without any representations or warranties. It's a "project car" for someone who knows how to restore a car of this kind. Hope this helps your bidding decision. Barry On Apr-18-12 at 17:38:54 PDT, seller added the following information: Please take further note: Payment of any balance after the initial $500 PayPal deposit must be in cash. If payment and pick up cannot be made by the winning bidder by Saturday, April 28, 2012, the buyer will have to wait to pick up the TR-6 on or after May 22, 2012. Any current bidders should feel free to withdraw their bids if this timetable for payment and pickup is inconvenient. On Apr-20-12 at 13:08:45 PDT, seller added the following information: Title: The vehicle is currently and validly registered in Connecticut. However, Connecticut did not issue Certificates of Title for cars built in 1969 so there is no Certificate of Title. Title will be passed to the winning bidder by the official Connecticut DMV "Supplemental Assignment of Ownership and/or Bill of Sale".
