Engine starts immediately and is perfectly tuned. Transmission shifts perfectly; no drive line noise, vibration or harshness. Undercarriage: clean, dry, beautiful. Engine bay: clean and dry, perfectly detailed. On the road: flawless highway manners, brakes, steering and suspension all superb. Smooth at all speeds. Fast; anytime you choose. 911 buyers don't need anybody to hold their hand when considering the purchase of the most iconic sports car in history. This particular Carrera has been well cared for its entire life and is one of 875 911s made worldwide (only 300 for USA and Canada) to commemorate total 911 production of 250,000 since its 1963 inception. Special and unique paint, wheels, leather, embroidered seats, even the front trunk carpet was unique to the CE but the package wasn't just extra bling and fluff. CE Carreras all got the optional short shifter and they also came with a heavy duty windshield washer system complete with an additional high pressure pump and reservoir. Bet you didn't know that - and I can also confidently report that this is one tight 911 that is deceptively quick. provenance 7-87 compliance label build date 9-8-95 Connecticut emissions 50,323 12-4-97 Connecticut emissions 12-3-99 Connecticut emissions 6-1-01 Kansas DMV 51,567 1-9-02 Kansas DMV 51,600 11-14-02 Kansas DMV - Salina 52,420 12-8-05 Nevada DMV 12-15-06 Nevada DMV 11-29-07 Nevada DMV 11-24-08 Nevada DMV - Pahrump 11-18-09 Nevada DMV 7-8-10 Nevada DMV 6-13-11 Nevada DMV - Pahrump 12-30-11 Manheim - Las Vegas 126,404 1-3-12 Viva Las Vegas Autos, Inc. - Boulder City, Nevada 126,454 1-5-12 Discount Tire - Henderson, Nevada - new tires 1-18-12 A-Best Auto - Henderson - new front brake pads/sensors, new e-brake shoes, repair e-brake, new receiver/drier, evac/charge a/c, replace interior warning light, hood struts, headlamp and complete vehicle inspection 126,503 3-23-12 current - Boulder City, Nevada 126,561 If you bought a 911 from your brother-in-law, you'd have to take it or leave it, rock chips and all. Not so with Viva Las Vegas Autos; we re-painted the front bumper and lower valance to give it some new-car "pop" but we didn't stop there. The tires are brand new, it has new front brake pads and sensors, new e-brake shoes, new plugs, valve cover gaskets, front hood struts and most important, heading into spring/summer; complete air conditioning service. Since it has clearly been well taken care of, it was only right that we keep the service current . . . something your brother-in-law probably didn't do. Smooth, straight metal, beautiful trim and spectacular paint looks even better in real life. The doors, hood, trunk all close solid, all lenses are clear, the glass is good and this is just a freeway driven gem that has never been abused and, like nearly all 911s, passionately adored by its owner. That's why this low production Carrera looks so unbelievably good after so many miles. We know from years experience that a well sorted vehicle makes for a happy customer, not to mention the further polishing of our reputation. That's what you're getting with this spectacular 911 Carrera CE; a buttoned down legend that is as reliable as it is fast. It starts immediately, shifts perfectly and drives basically like new. This rare Porsche is a functional diamond and it's satisfying knowing the buyer will be thrilled. We send our Porsche's out to our Porsche service facility for a 130pt full inspection. They checked everything out and found all in superb working order and what they found to need service, we approved. Unlike most individual sellers, we go to a lot of trouble and expense readying a car for sale. Once we get a thumbs-up from our Porsche service center, we actually spend a couple of days detailing the car and steam cleaning the undercarriage. Think an owner selling from the corner by his house invests this much effort? The Porsche 911 is one of those rare designs that seem to age much more slowly than other cars. When they are as well cared for as this diamond, they look even newer than that. Fun fact: Did you know there was an option to delete the Carrera badge on the engine lid? It was code 498 and it's on the original I.D. label under the front trunk lid. Other codes are, 243 (short shift lever) 650 (power sun roof) and C02 (48 state compliance ~ when new.) The CE Fuchs wheel centers are the same Diamond Blue metallic as the body and there's not a single curb scrape on any of them. Don't like going to the tire store? Good news; we nstalled brand new Falkens all around so, put your credit card away. Targas are cool and cabriolets may be awesome but it's the coupe shape everybody wants. This shot really shows the gleaming blue that changes to silver with stronger light. The hood has a few tiny paint chips but they all look like they have been caringly touched up over the years. The black trim on this bullet is really black, not sun bleached like so many other 911s and it strongly suggests this car was garage kept. Makes sense when you consider the type of buyer these cars attract. The key was still on the left in 1988 and part of the CE package included special leather, carpet and a short shift lever. The air blows cold in here and the steering is precise, as only a 911 can be. It won't take long . . . sitting here, working the G50 5-speed and spinning the robust 3.2 liter engine to six grand . . . to get why so many people invest so much of themselves for the 911 in their lives. That's why so many higher mileage Porsches look and function like they have half what is actually on the odometer. These cars are special and I've yet to meet a former owner that doesn't regret selling their 911. Don't believe me? Take a look at completed sales on eBay. 911s are strong, no matter what the economy is doing. The seats are manual, fore and aft but they are power height adjustable. Upholstery is great with just slight bolster wear on the driver's side, door panels are superb and this cream puff simply does not look all that much like a used car. The factory original carpet is wearing through at the heal mark but overall in stellar condition. Is the car a museum piece? No. But if it was, you wouldn't enjoy it roped off as much as you will on those curvy country roads. Penmanship notwithstanding, CE cars all got the Ferry Porsche embroidered headrest. When you think about it, this crème de la crème 911 is ultra low mileage, having averaged just 5,200 miles a year since new. 3.2 Liter SOHC Horizontally Opposed 6 Cylinder Engine 214 horsepower @ 5,900/195 ft-lb torque @ 4,800 RPM Porsche compressor and original tools. Yep, this is what you want to see when you peer under your next Porsche. Yes, it's perfect from back here too. This is why this 911 handles and steers so much like a new car . . . . . . rebuilt suspension and steering including new bushings throughout.
