Vehicle Detail
Hi there. I bought this vehicle not even 3 weeks ago from a neighbor of mine. I know for a fact that this vehicle was owned by an older couple that used to take this vehicle back and forth to Lake George during the warmer months. It was put away every November and taken out every February. The outside of this truck is wonderful. I only saw one crack on the back hatch door, that's it. The previous owner told me that the truck worked perfectly when he put it away last November, 2011. When he took it out in February, it was stuck in 1st gear. I bought it from him thinking that it was going to be an easy fix. I had the tranny serviced and new filter put on, and the truck was working fine. About an hour after getting it fixed, the tranny started acting up again. I have no idea what is wrong with it, let's get that clear, I bought this on a whim and now I need to get rid of it. This would be a perfect mechanic's project car, or for someone that needs this truck for body parts. The front end on this vehicle alon is worth $2500 and the doors, and rims and the engine so forth and so on. The engine is very clean and runs very quiet. The truck needs new tires. I almost put new tires on until the transmission started to act up. I asked around some local shops. They can do tranny swaps foe $600 if you give them another tranny. Like I said, this would be an awesome project car for someone, especially for the body alone. I am starting this auction at 99 cents. I have to put a cautious reserve on it as I do not want to lose alot of money, I am willing to lose some, but not alot. It has a clear title which has yet to be mailed back to me listing me as the new owner, that's how soon ago i bought this. I am not in the business of buying cars and fixing them up, I just wanted to gamble on it.
